Think of me tomorrow peoples - rotator cuff repair to my primary shoulder. Very little typing will be done while in the sling after, which will be anything from 2 to 6 weeks depending on what they find when they open it up.

The things that will be most difficult are:
Washing my hair
Washing the opposite armpit (!)
Opening things
Changing the litter tray

And most importantly, it will affect Boycat's morning bed cuddles! . I lie on one side resting my head on his flank and squidging his tummy with the other. I can't lie on the bad shoulder, and I can't squidge with it either . Sofa cuddles will be OK, as he lies to my right and just needs that hand, and it's the left being done tomorrow.

Actually in the longer term I'd prefer the 6 week recovery - 6 weeks means they've been able to repair it, 2 weeks means it's completely knackered & all they can do is tidy the area up a bit to get rid of the pain.

Nah, old-ish PC. I'll live with very restricted typing, though I'll miss the gaming.

Off to bed now - need to be up at 5 to have time to shower, hair wash, cuddle Boycat loads & be there before 7am (ugh)

I have spent the day pissing about with measuring jugs, measuring ollies water, panicking every time he goes near it and making a telephone vet appointment for tomorrow

The poor dehydrated cat is now slamming a ball (with a bell in) up and down the hallway, shouting about it and what sounds like battering the cardboard box. I suspect he possibly is in fact, absolutely fine

Oh dear! If it’s any comfort, my arm has giant scratches from a spat between Matt and the dog. I think I accidentally knocked Matt off the arm of the sofa when I was breaking it up and he must have tried to hang on to me to stop himself falling!
