Smashed off his little furry face still. He's eaten and drunk but slept on his scratch box and keeps going back there rather than sleep in one of his million beds

YetAnotherSpartacus · 26/09/2020 08:33

Maybe he's still got a bit of a temp?

I'm glad that he is eating and drinking.

Supersimkin2 · 26/09/2020 08:40

Breakfast is the best sign you could have. Did you sleep ok yourself?

QueenOllie · 26/09/2020 09:11

Insomnia at the minute anyway! I slept from about 4-7

YetAnotherSpartacus · 26/09/2020 09:16

I hope that you are both able to take long and sustaining naps today.

QueenOllie · 26/09/2020 09:45

I'm working sadly! He's sat on his scratch box gazing into space purring away happily with water sloshed down his chin Blush

YetAnotherSpartacus · 26/09/2020 13:10

How are you both, Queen?

QueenOllie · 26/09/2020 13:27

He's still stoned. I plonked him in his bed and he blinked at me and went back to his scratch box like it's his charging port or something
He's had a wee and some food

YetAnotherSpartacus · 26/09/2020 13:46

I like the idea of a chargeable Ollie.

How are you?

Papergirl1968 · 26/09/2020 14:00

Half an hour ago Matt was swearing viciously at the dog. Now he’s got on my lap while the dog is snuggled up against my leg and both are fast asleep!

QueenOllie · 26/09/2020 14:08

Vaguely awake, worrying about him but I'm home so I can watch him 24/7

YetAnotherSpartacus · 26/09/2020 14:25

Take care Queen. Flowers

Matt is letting the side down.

Guiltypleasures001 · 26/09/2020 16:38

Best wishes and warm thoughts for you and Ollie Queen xx

Supersimkin2 · 26/09/2020 17:31

Try and get a nap love @QueenOllie. You needs your kip.

@Papergirl1968's lap looks a rather fashionable spot....

I ran the shop today. Both me and the other volunteer screamed 'ask the manager' pointing at the other one when we had an annoying customer.

Gave away a selection of CDs to a couple carrying a massive pug with his tongue stuck out at an angle. So sweet I forgot to charge them. No one tell Cap'n pls.

We had to shut at 5:15 because we told one annoying man to come back at 530. Now at home with Cap'n who is deliciously soft and warm, asking for cuddles and armpits tickles. And crisps.

Papergirl1968 · 26/09/2020 17:50

Those pesky customers, Lana! Grin
I’ve just got back from taking the dog for a very long walk. I hope one benefit to unplanned dog ownership will be losing weight.

Supersimkin2 · 26/09/2020 18:14

You get the hero award anyway @Papergirl1968 for nobly walking the dog and coping with Matt on return home.

Most customers are unusually lovely, but the few that aren't make up for it. One of them tries to pinch my lunch.

Papergirl1968 · 26/09/2020 20:47

No, Lana! Shock
The stock is fair game (even if it is a charity shop) but not your lunch!

QueenOllie · 26/09/2020 21:01

Get rid of him mama. He annoying

Supersimkin2 · 26/09/2020 21:56

How could you Paws? Takeover of the sickbed not acceptable Grin

I feel the same @Papergirl1968. No one should come between a lady and her Wotsits.

QueenOllie · 26/09/2020 23:11

Going to ring the vets tomorrow. This is going to sound strange/awful but I feel like he's dying Sad
He's settled and purring but he looked at me and.. I don't know. Hasn't eaten since this morning and he only picked at it then and is drinking loads of water
I don't want to take him to out of hours unless of course he gets very bad or in pain, so I'll ring in the morning

Allergictoironing · 27/09/2020 00:19

Hang in there Queen, it could well be that your subconscious is catastrophe-ing the situation because it's been such a dreadful year in general and we are all getting strange moods.

I can understand your concerns though, those aren't the best symptoms for a cat with his background bless the precious boy. Give him big cuddles; not only will it make you feel better, but it's good for him as well. Un-mumsnety hug from me too.

QueenOllie · 27/09/2020 00:20

At OOH vets, I wasn't happy to leave him until my vets open at 2pm tomorrow

Allergictoironing · 27/09/2020 00:37

Hope all goes OK Sad, we all love Ollie. Damn not going to be able to go to bed & sleep until I get an update now!

QueenOllie · 27/09/2020 00:46

He's being admitted, they think he might have triarditis. Going to do a basic ultrasound then keep him comfortable overnight and speak to my own vets. He's insured for up to £3000 so I have said work up to that provided it's in his best interests

Allergictoironing · 27/09/2020 00:57

Well a diagnosis is the first step towards treatment & recovery Smile. Looks like it's drugs not surgery to sort him out, so hopefully won't go over the insurance limit.
