I was thinking that earlier, Coaster. I really do love Ollie.

Supersimkin2 · 27/09/2020 20:26

Well done @QueenOllie, get it down you. Watch crap telly and try to relax safe in the knowledge you have done every single thing right. You're both so loved, love.

QueenOllie · 27/09/2020 21:28

Update
He's accepted some syringed chicken soup but that's it. Vitals are good and his bile duct isn't blocked
He's being transferred to my own vets tomorrow morning by a vet run I've paid for as I'm working and can't do it (8am)
It's curable basically but he needs to a) start eating and b) have the scan to find out what's causing the stone/sludge
He's on IV fluids, pain relief, a calmer, antibiotics and they're hoping he can be seen by my own vets, then discharged to me tomorrow and the scan brought forwards

TheLongRider · 27/09/2020 21:43

That's about as positive an update as you could wish for. He's a stubborn beast and doesn't like vets so he's doing well in the circumstances.

I hope you know you have a circle of virtual support from all of us here on the litter tray. I hope you have real.life support too.

Guiltypleasures001 · 27/09/2020 21:44

That's good news lovely fingers crossed for your darling boy, try and rest easy tonight if you can Queen Thanks

Supersimkin2 · 27/09/2020 22:08

You must be relieved. Such good news - no surgery, mega IV ABs, I'm sure he'll eat when he's out of there with less tummy ache. It must have been making him feel sick, and they can stop that.

He's got a superb diet and that doubtless saved him from a lot more trouble - the vets must love you to bits.

Cap'n sends you a vast grunty purr.

QueenOllie · 27/09/2020 22:20

No surgery just yet! They said the scan will show if he needs a sample biopsy or the gallbladder stone removing

Papergirl1968 · 27/09/2020 22:33

That all sounds really positive. I hope you get some sleep tonight and fingers crossed he’ll be home tomorrow.

Supersimkin2 · 27/09/2020 22:37

OK - no fun but straightforward op, either of them. Gallstones are vicious little buggers, but easy to get rid. They use a teaspoon on humans.

Am sitting here waiting for Cap'n to fall off the windowsill. He is now too fat to fall asleep on it, but the eyelids are drooping...I hope you're in bed Missy, you must be shattered. If you can't kip, even tho it doesn't feel like it lying down does the trick nearly as well.

Papergirl1968 · 27/09/2020 23:17

Matt is being very loving tonight....

One arm is trapped under him, I’ve given up on trying to read the paper, and I could do with the loo and a drink but I haven’t got the heart to move him.

swampytiggaa · 28/09/2020 08:11

I moved my flowers onto a small bookcase in my bedroom to stop the cats snacking on the greenery.

That worked well 😌

QueenOllie · 28/09/2020 09:37

Ollie is at my own vets, they've said he looks pretty miserable (where is my roast chicken and mama?) but not at deaths door

TheLongRider · 28/09/2020 09:39

There is hope then. I'm so sorry that you can't be with him.

YetAnotherSpartacus · 28/09/2020 09:40

Still sending all my best to Ollie!

QueenOllie · 28/09/2020 09:42

He is hopefully coming home tonight Smile

YetAnotherSpartacus · 28/09/2020 09:54

That's good!

Has the scan been brought forward?

Toddlerteaplease · 28/09/2020 09:57

@coastergirl agreed. I love Ollie too!

QueenOllie · 28/09/2020 10:02

@YetAnotherSpartacus not yet, they're ringing the specialist

YetAnotherSpartacus · 28/09/2020 10:05

Fingers crossed that he can get a scan so that you know what the issue is and can plan treatment. It does sound like the sooner the better!

Is he still on antibiotics?

QueenOllie · 28/09/2020 10:08

Yes. Still on IV for the day so we can get as many meds in as possible

YetAnotherSpartacus · 28/09/2020 10:18

Good... I just worry that if he has to keep coming and going from the vets' that it might just be best to keep him there until he definitely stabilises and/or you know more about the scan Flowers.

QueenOllie · 28/09/2020 10:20

@YetAnotherSpartacus just heard they can scan tomorrow Smile
My own vets doesn't have overnight care so he can come home tonight and then be scanned tomorrow

YetAnotherSpartacus · 28/09/2020 10:41

Excellent!

Papergirl1968 · 28/09/2020 11:23

That’s great! Hope you have plenty of roast chicken in...
