Can you put a flap in the door paper? It would save you a bit in winter heating bills.

I could get someone to put a catflap in the garage door, I suppose, Fluffy, but I’d rather she be in the house with the rest of us! She loves her garage though. She looks up at the door handle and cries to go in. Which was fine in summer but isn’t great now it’s dropping cooler. And most certainly won’t be fine in winter!
She is a grown up girl now. She’s getting bigger and heavier despite only nibbling at her food unlike Matt who is greedy as ever!

Sympathetic thoughts for you Papergirl1968. It's a shame that 'Father Christmas won't bring you a nice scratching deck unless you are very good' wouldn't work as a deterrent tactic

Massive sympathies Papergirl. Leroy is exactly the same with the porch so I totally understand. Weirdo likes to look through the letterbox so we get a howling gale blowing through the house.

I got a couple of little Valerian filled "pillows" for the kitties with Zooplus points a little while ago, and broke one out today. Girlcat initially treated it like a catnip toy, then suddenly went serious zoomies mode - bouncing around the room on & off furniture, pouncing on her brother, attacking every scratching device in the room. And there was me thinking it's supposed to work like catnip, which usually gets her completely stoned & dribbling on the floor!

Ah well, exercise is good for her and as indoor cats they probably don't get enough. Her afternoon nap does seem to be even deeper than usual today, reckon she's worn herself out

New job is lovely 😊 pretty much stress free and I get paid for every minute of overtime I do.

Old job - they advertised and interviewed but can’t replace me. Obviously. Not been in since I left.

Manager was lovely as were most of the volunteers but as ever it’s the higher ups who don’t understand what it’s like to actually work in their retail arm.

They make bloody sure they don't understand if you ask me. Nice to be irreplaceable, though Fine news re new job.

Morticia has taken to hiding under my bed late evening then snuggling up to me once I’m asleep.

In other news my daughter doing animal care has been walking goats and making enrichment boxes for ferrets. What a time to be alive 😂😂

Scattered Barney's ashes earlier. He had a really good turn out - 4 out of "his" 5 houses and the other one watching from the window.

Don't know if he'll wait for anyone at Rainbow Bridge or if he'll March straight over with a flick of his ginger tail and an air of superiority 😁.
