And I left the charity shop on Friday. Apparently my leaving flowers are essential greenery for the cats.

Nemo is kittening. He went to the vets today for his second round of vaccinations. He was a bit off his food and the vet said he was teething! Nemo has doubled in weight in the month since we found him.

He behaves like a little satellite moon around Hobbes. If Hobbes wanders in, Nemo trots over chirruping at him until he can rub up against him in greeting. The gravitational pull of the Hobbes is strong.

I do think there's a bit of "Calvin" in Nemo 😁.

Gomez is snuggled in my lap 💕 she’s obviously forgiven me for the house being full for the last 6 months 😂😂

Barney, our local free-roamer (not stray he had 3 "homes") died this morning.

Heartbroken 💔😢

Papergirl1968 · 23/09/2020 10:15

Aww, Yes, I’m sorry to hear that. Was he old?

YesItsMeIDontCare · 23/09/2020 11:54

No idea tbh. He was a "free-cat" for years. Closest estimate seems to be anywhere between 12 & 17. It seemed like he had a peaceful end though and I know he had a full tummy. We've taken him to Leroy's vet for cremation.

Lots of tears round here today. 😢

Papergirl1968 · 23/09/2020 12:28

It’s lovely that so many people cared Flowers

Papergirl1968 · 24/09/2020 18:16

I can’t do links but the Daily Mail Online has an article recommending cats be fed just one large meal each day.
Matt would be horrified!

TheLongRider · 24/09/2020 19:20

Ha ha, ha ha, ha ha! Yeah, right.

If I tried that there'd be a Daily Mail headline about a woman's corpse eaten by her five cats.

Speaking of multi-cat households - has anyone heard from @Justonedayatatime11
Maybe the snakes have overcome the cats.

Justonedayatatime11 · 24/09/2020 21:16

Still here, very unwell atm. Kitten pics

Sorry to hear about your illness. I hope the gang of cats are giving you healing purrs.
The kittens are lovely.

Defiantly41 · 24/09/2020 22:48

Sorry to hear about your illness just. Lovely kitten pics

nettie434 · 24/09/2020 22:51

Get well soon Just. Lovely pics! Are you having a break before you start your new job swampytiggaa or has it started already? The Nemo updates are lovely TheLongRider. He has certainly chosen his servant and assistants (and Mentor Cat Hobbes) well. Sorry about Barney Yesitsmeidontcare. He must have been a lovely cat if he acquired three homes.

Papergirl1968 · 24/09/2020 22:56

Sorry to hear that, Just. Hope you feel better soon
What gorgeous kitties!

QueenOllie · 25/09/2020 08:51

Ollie unwell, pet taxi taking him to the vet Sad
He's hot and lethargic and refusing to speak/purr, just sat looking at me

YetAnotherSpartacus · 25/09/2020 09:04

Oh, dear. All the best Ollie!

I hope that Ollie is better soon. It's horrible when they suddenly get I'll.

coastergirl · 25/09/2020 09:48

Oh no. Hope Ollie is ok. Thoughts to all those struggling with various things.

QueenOllie · 25/09/2020 09:59

Dehydrated, bloods being done and he's lost half a kg

YetAnotherSpartacus · 25/09/2020 10:00

Oh, dear. Get well soon, Ollie!

Oh dear - he isn't exactly a massive cat to start with Sad.

Keep us updated, we all love Ollie.

QueenOllie · 25/09/2020 10:13

He's down to 2.8, I feel awful but I didn't notice as I see him every day

YetAnotherSpartacus · 25/09/2020 10:18

Cats are very good at hiding their illnesses, especially Ollie who hates the vet...

QueenOllie · 25/09/2020 10:21

He's been eating and drinking and acting normally despite the weight loss so I guess that's good
