Ohh yes! Are they numbers 15 and 16?

A Bengal and ?

Justonedayatatime11 · 31/08/2020 21:16

14 and 15. Baby savannah and baby Siamese. 1 turned into an unexpected 2 Hmm

Supersimkin2 · 31/08/2020 21:23

EEEEE!!! LOVELY LOVELY LOVELY

coastergirl · 31/08/2020 21:34

@YetAnotherSpartacus

Oh shit. The little den is amplifying Walter's snoring!

Buy two and you will have two spare ...

Please tell me how you knew this?! I got another today. Both are laced with catnip. Both are being ignored! They look good though.

Eeek kittens! Love them! How is Charlie @Justonedayatatime11? I miss seeing him.

Justonedayatatime11 · 31/08/2020 21:39

coastergirl the big Doofus is still here! Slightly bemused by kittens, particularly Willow given she's the spitting image of him!

Oh I just love him! Especially the comedy size difference.

Defiantly41 · 31/08/2020 22:30

Is that Miss WonkyLegs, just?

And the baby Siamese? Why does no one ever offer me a baby Siamese? So cute

Allergictoironing · 01/09/2020 11:58

I seem to have a pair of foxes sunbathing on the decking in my back jungle garden, I think they may have moved in. Cats are fascinated, they are spending ages just staring out of the patio doors.

Not really sure what to do about them in the long run. I don't really want them moving in for good & raising an entire brood of urban scavengers, plus eventually someone is coming in to do deforestation of the shrubs & brambles, and replace all the decking (which is seriously dangerous, went through it the other week).

Part of me is telling me to chase them off, and part of me is saying put out the cat food left overs as one of them looks rather thin.

Papergirl1968 · 01/09/2020 12:56

Love the new name, Queen!

Papergirl1968 · 01/09/2020 13:54

Loving the cat pics, Just.
Matt is asleep on the back of the sofa. He fell off the other day and landed on my lap. I don’t know who was more shocked, him or me...

Defiantly41 it is little miss wonky. Although she appears to be growing into her legs. She looks like a little baby cheetah

Oh Matt, be still my beating heart - he is so adorable @Papergirl1968. Just so loyal and loving.

Supersimkin2 · 01/09/2020 18:04

@Allergictoironing catfood nothing, those foxes will be eyeing up Boycat and Girlcat. Get rid before of the buggers before the cold weather, I would.

Allergictoironing · 01/09/2020 18:09

They can't get IN the house, and Boycat & Girlcat can't & don't go out. They just seem to think my garden is the best option for lounging about during the day, as I don't go out there really & all the neighbours do (plus they have neat gardens, not jungles).

I'm not really sure how to get rid of them, apart from charging outdoors & yelling whenever I see them. I refuse to even consider poisoning, as was suggested at a previous house, and if I trapped them I wouldn't know what to do with them!

QueenPaws · 01/09/2020 18:11

I gave him the wrong food. He peered in his bowl, threw up on the windowsill and then flung himself on the floor

TheLongRider · 01/09/2020 20:24

A fox won't go for a healthy cat. My cats chase the foxes out of our garden.

Supersimkin2 · 02/09/2020 08:53

I bet they do @TheLongRider. Two foxes ate my parents' cat in a teeny London garden last year. He was 14, admittedly.

Note to self: do not start the hairball treats two days before houseguests. They are indeed 'guaranteed effective'.

Papergirl1968 · 02/09/2020 10:15

That’s so sad, Lana Sad

Allergictoironing · 02/09/2020 10:46

Well the visitors are back sunbathing again. I'm a bit worried about one of them, as it looks VERY thin and possibly mangy. I'm going to contact a Kent based specialist fox rescue to see what they advise later (not open this morning due to Covid staff shortages).

I'm wondering if I have a bit of a Romeo & Juliet going on here, as one always approaches from one side of the garden and the other, from the other. Same when they leave Wink.

YetAnotherSpartacus · 02/09/2020 11:10

I'm not so sure about foxes and cats. One healthy and bright cat against one fox - yes, but one dim cat, or cat not used to being outside maybe not. And the other night when I heard fox noises and went outside with a torch it reflected against probably three or four sets of fox eyes - and they were fighting over a carcass of something in the grassed area across from my house. I'm not sure that a cat would win against more than one fox and/or they might run in terror and get lost. I love foxes - but they are also, as a wildlife person said to me once 'designed to do a job and they do it very well".

Justonedayatatime11 · 02/09/2020 13:04

Any ideas how to get the stench of a very angry grass snake off a very grumpy cat?

Supersimkin2 · 02/09/2020 13:10

Oh sympathies @Justonedayatatime11. Flowers

Wash by-now-furious cat in sink? Treat self to strong drink afterwards.

Allergictoironing · 02/09/2020 13:28

I think it depends on the cat. A typical house moggy is one thing, but if it's one of the Bengals or Charlie..... Shock

Justonedayatatime11 · 02/09/2020 13:46

It's one of the Suffolk's. my smallest cat (bar the kittens) but my god is she feisty. I've had to settle for water wipes and a fair few scratches Hmm. WHY do they think snakes are such good toys?! Hopefully once the weather turns cooler we won't get any more, this one was particularly large

Supersimkin2 · 02/09/2020 14:04

Heroic to tackle snake bum oil, @Justonedayatatime11. That really is beyond the call of duty.

Not to mention the vast serpent.

Sudocrem and G&T now. That's an order.
