Our other two cats are mostly ignoring him, that's fine he's quite respectful of their boundaries.

Supersimkin2 · 27/08/2020 22:37

Oh @TheLongRider, that must be the sweetest pic ever to grace the Emerald Isle. What a beautiful pair of kitlings.

Melting here - just seized and clasped Capn, who woke up with a grunt and tried for an extra meal. He did a trill earlier, first time, while snuggled on sofa getting ears'n'chin.

Paws! Is he down yet Grin

QueenPaws · 28/08/2020 09:42

He found his way down fast enough when I bribed him with dreamies Grin

Ollie "mama? He STUPID"

Papergirl1968 · 28/08/2020 12:57

Aww, LongRider. So glad he has
settled well.

Supersimkin2 · 29/08/2020 10:23

Just apologised profusely to the Cap'n.

Frightful whiff of pee in the boudoir. No damp patch. Then I spotted my new Jo Malone spray. 'English Pear & Freesia' relegated to paintbrush cleaner.

He's on me now roary purring - toothbrush tickling the armpits time, his favourite. Limp, tongue hanging out, eyes half closed, dribbling.

YesItsMeIDontCare · 29/08/2020 11:53

LEROY'S GOT BLOODY FLEAS AGAIN!!!

😱😱😱😭😭😭🤬🤬🤬😿😿😿

Fluffycloudland77 · 29/08/2020 21:19

As long as he’s up to date with his meds they’ll bite him and die.

YesItsMeIDontCare · 29/08/2020 22:09

He was last treated 3 1/2 weeks ago. I checked with the vet who said it was fine to treat again. If they reappear I may need to try a tablet.

Indorexed the house again too,

I've not had this problem with Advantage but our new vet uses Broadline. I have noticed Barney scratching again too though and I know he was treated 2 weeks ago.

I think we have mutant fleas this year. Well it is 2020! 😁😭😱

Fluffycloudland77 · 30/08/2020 06:57

If you can run to a program injection any fleas he picks up can’t breed. It’s a belt and braces approach.

Supersimkin2 · 30/08/2020 08:30

DM gave Mr C fleas once, Yes. I would start by accusing any house guests, eyes narrowed to slits. The classy approach. Grin

It's insanely irritating, isn't it. Well done on all the spraying etc. They'll go pretty much instantly and then you ought to get some peace for a bit. Indorex is a bitch.

YesItsMeIDontCare · 30/08/2020 13:09

@Fluffycloudland77 - I'll run to anything. He must be so miserable 😿.

@Supersimkin2 - Houseguests? What are they? I have the social skills of a polar bear and the temperament of hungry great white in a bad mood.

Fluffycloudland77 · 30/08/2020 13:17

I hope you cut her dead for that Super. It is the mumsnet way after all.

Supersimkin2 · 30/08/2020 18:17

Not in the slightest - I grew up thinking humans with fleas were normal and other people's housework routines were petit bourgeois embarrassments.

Grin
Fluffycloudland77 · 30/08/2020 19:23

I snorted at “petit”. Ouch.

Supersimkin2 · 30/08/2020 21:17

At my first publishing job the office got fleas. I didn't quite have the measure of DM - who it was my job to disinfest - at that tender age - and airily offered to spray all the editors.

Amazed I was allowed back, although I did hide the Rentokil spray off Mum's dressing table in my handbag.

Fluffycloudland77 · 30/08/2020 21:38

🤦🏻‍♀️ They must have liked you.

coastergirl · 30/08/2020 23:11

Offering to spray the editors really tickled me.

I got this from aldi today. Sprinkled a bit of catnip under the cushion to entice them in. Now they both want it. Back to aldi tomorrow for another one.

Oh shit. The little den is amplifying Walter's snoring!

Fluffycloudland77 · 31/08/2020 05:50

Put a fleece over it. You won’t hear a peep out of them all day.

It looks really nice.

YetAnotherSpartacus · 31/08/2020 13:13

Oh shit. The little den is amplifying Walter's snoring!

Buy two and you will have two spare ...

QueenPaws · 31/08/2020 18:19

Cooking tea and turned round to find paws sat behind me. Forgetting myself for a minute I gave him a fuss before I fed him and he just sat there Grin looking at me like "let you pet me, where's the food hooman?"

Supersimkin2 · 31/08/2020 20:27

Little lad, he temporarily forgot his negotiating position while enjoying a head rub from, whisper it, Real Mama.

Justonedayatatime11 · 31/08/2020 20:43

Kittens anybody?
