New thread!
I’ve found two so much more hard work (and expensive) than one, Queen

You're dead Queen. I suspect Paws will provide an alibi too.

It was nice knowing you 😂.

London, the same proud city that survived the Blitz, has cracked under corona.

I got the last luxury cat litter in the city.

It’s like Easter Sunday here too.

Offered paws worming tablet. He ate it. Flea treated. He just sat there. 10/10 for paws behaviour Grin

That will be the behaviour Ollie doesn’t copy.

Oh yes. Why be good when you can be dramatic

I lost you for a bit. DD and DDDCat are self isolating atm. DDDCat has been venturing onto DD's lap, and actually sat down for about 5 seconds. Smile

Now that's the first positive corona news I've heard.

I can't be the only one who's not-so-secretly jubilant at the thought of not being able to visit their wicked old relations for a glorious four months.

A mate I know has her very ancient MIL visiting, now stuck because of dodgy transport home.

The family has a quandary. DIL yelled 'if she goes on the coach she gets corona. If she stays I'll kill her. Either way....'

We have family visiting later, I don’t think it’s a good idea at all. Neither would be ventilated if they got it at their age.

Dh is being stubborn but I’m the perfect carrier Sad.

I hope your DD will be ok Sparkly

Good luck Fluffy. Some of our elders, usually the ones 'revered for their mots juste', are tough as old boots.

Even if every OAP in the country has their face licked by the croakiest patient in ITU, the vast majority will recover fine. Fret ye not.

Rejoice - once they've gone, that's it for the Viennese whirls and the special teapot for weeks.

Dbro rang me from mainland Europe. He is livid. He's read corona kills more men than women. He says it's feminism gone mad.

I think I read because smoking rates are higher in men in the countries affected they were dying more.

Dreading seeing the death toll today.

I'm carrying on as normal and offering spare loo roll to my neighbours, all of whom are laffing gaily.

Joking apart, multiculturalism is helping hugely - given a hell of a lot of people round here have fled from chaotic civil wars, being murdered by their relations or life in prison because they are a fan of musical theatre/voted wrong, no one's that impressed with panic buying hysterics.

Concerned men should self-identify as women. That’ll save ‘em.

Grin Apparently it makes the balls shrink to hazelnuts. You'd have to be a real cat to carry those pompoms off.

Capn V is refusing to get in box without cashmere throw.

Cap'n V is living the life of Reilly!
How has it been with him for the first month?

How do you resist burying your face in that belly fur?

It has been a surprise of sheer loveliness. And I say that as a person who is already cat trained.

Capn V is the nicest person I've ever met - he is gentle, affectionate, sociable and chatty. We are slowly getting The Routine, which I learn is a rigid timetable of huge meals, head stroking and bed no later than 11:30 to allow The Groom and The Sweets. I'm allowed a nap in the afternoon.

Yesterday he sniffed my armpit and purred.

Has he got over his inappropriate toileting?

Report
Supersimkin2 · 16/03/2020 10:27

Yaarrrrssss!!! Phew. I think it was nerves, he didn't like New Tray of Evil.

Old Tray of Toilette Serenity reinstated.

Giant food order done. For cats, not me
I suspect Paws would start nibbling furniture if we run out so it's for my own safety
Ollie has been peering in the cupboard and looking worried we didn't have enough "good STUFF"

Tell the boys they'll be "self-isolating" elsewhere if they don't like the rations!
