New thread!
I’ve found two so much more hard work (and expensive) than one, Queen

Another day to go, it's Thursday not tomorrow. I have no concerns about this one, it's a pretty simple "minor" op. They won't find cancer as it's taken 15 years to get this big (would have killed me long ago if it was malignant). Still haven't got a date for the shoulder, that'll be the big one.

I once told Snorg to go and find Cheddar. 5 minutes later cheddar comes hurtling into the house at top speed, with Snorg close behind. My friend was seriously impressed.

I may have made a mistake today. I usually buy diced lamb, but got stewing lamb instead this week that needed to be cut up, fatty bits removed & bones cut out. I offered a couple of raw fatty bits and a couple of bones with meaty shreds on to the cats. Boycat actually GROWLED at Girlcat when she came close to the piece he was attacking Shock. He's never growled at her (or her at him) since they came home. I sort of get the feeling that he was enjoying the raw meat.

Macho man!! I know the rudest thing you can do to a cat is smirk, but I do grin internally at a good growl - it's so sweet. Boycat's in touch with his inner Lion King.

Timid little new rescue cat Capn V has just been found facedown in M&S potato salad. I'm still hungry, he's not sweet at all. Grin

Matt hissed at me last night because he’d got HIS claws stuck in MY leg and I had the temerity to try to gently free him Confused
I’ve just come back from lunch at a garden centre cafe, and there was a resident cat curled up fast asleep on the counter by the till (the garden centre till not the cafe).
Every business should have a resident cat! 😺

I could have laughed out loud at him without being noticed I reckon, he was so intent on massacring RAW MEAT, possibly for the first time in his life - unless he ate any of those mice I had, but he seemed to lose interest in those when they stopped moving Envy (not envy).

He's usually the meekest, politest cat ever.

OOh, it wasn't the Duchy garden centre in Cornwall was it?! They have a Maine Coon by the till.

@Toddlerteaplease That just adds weight to the theory they understand everything.

They choose not to act on it every time but they understand it.

No, wishing I was in lovely Cornwall and meeting a MC as I don’t think I’ve ever seen one, but sadly it was North Worcestershire and a black and white moggy!

Hey all!

Home safe and sound, and have been for ages. Having been starved since last night, it turns out that half the afternoon list had been told to come in for the morning - including me Sad. However went down at 1.30pm, was on the phone to DSis to collect me in under 2 hours which is pretty good going for a GA, especially considering it took them 3 goes to find a vein in my hand.

Cats went to come downstairs to greet me then realised I had company, so fled back up. Eventually Girlcat came & kept us company, very intentionally taking routes close to DSis to show she wasn't concerned. I know in theory you are supposed to be kept company by a responsible adult for 24 hours after a GA but I know how well I react to them so DSis left about an hour ago once she'd checked I could make tea, go to the loo & use the toaster & microwave safely.

Did kitty supper & both came down, however Boycat didn't go near the food until he'd had a looong cuddle. He's now back on the sofa looking hopefully at me, hinting that he wouldn't mind another now he's had a bit of food. Girlcat is staring hard at me with her "come into the living room NOW expression.

Aches a bit down my side but doesn't hurt really; then again, no idea how long intravenous Fentanyl lasts!

Yay, you're alive! I'm glad the cats have deemed you ok for their company.

I'm in Dublin, plenty of panic buying but also plenty of food. I had to make an emergency dash to the Library tonight to stock up on books for DD because they are shutting for two weeks along with all the schools, colleges and universities.

I'll be seriously considering sending 10 year-old DD to the country cousins after two weeks of pre-teen drama. She can go feral in the wilds of the Midlands of Ireland. No risk of contagion in the middle of a field of cow pats! Grin

Cats have escorted me everywhere since they came down for supper, I don't think they trust me not to desert them again.

BTW it WAS a cyst not a lipoma, one of the biggest they've dealt with there (approx 5cm x 4cm), and was very deeply embedded into the muscles. Been sent off to the lab just in case, especially as the surgeon said it was "a bit unusual", I think because of the size and positioning, but they don't expect anything to come up.
