Dear God, that's the size of a hamster.

Well done for getting rid of the huge annoying bastard Allergic. You'll feel much better without that brute knocking about.

Long I would send DD to the country if I were you, will reduce anxiety esp if distant field has bad wifi Grin

My parents' friends all 80-plus are fleeing London despite telling everyone else They Lived Through The War. DM and DF are telling everyone they have it. They don't.

Allergictoironing · 12/03/2020 23:14

Lana closer than you realise there. I keep referring to today as my Decree Absolute for George (yes I named him a few years ago, when we still thought he was a lipoma) having come through today - well I've lived with the bastard for 15 years and it's a useless irritation that seems to have developed a personality of it's own, so today HAS been similar to a divorce from a useless husband Grin

Supersimkin2 · 12/03/2020 23:37

Yay to cocklodging waster finally left the building Grin

At least you didn't have to give the boring git half your jewellery.

Supersimkin2 · 12/03/2020 23:41

Dearie me, there are some panic spreaders on MN. Very silly and
naughty of the mods to allow it.

Considering posters are censored to the point of not being allowed to say anything uncomplimentary about Meghan Markle (or sim, also other actresses/royals/reality people) can't quite see why MN are fine about spreading mass panic.

Allergictoironing · 13/03/2020 07:46

Meh to them. Just been watching the news & the Govt chief scientific advisor gave stats that of the people tested for Corona in the UK around 2% were positive so far. That's a rather small number. Yes I understand the reasons for some of the measures taken, but if people are careful & sensible they are unlikely to catch it, and the vast majority of those who do it will just feel like a standard cold or mild flu.

It looks like the only people at risk are those with underlying conditions or very elderly, who standard flu would probably carry off.

I'm still being followed around the house this morning, & I'm pretty sure one of them snuck onto my bed overnight & dived off when I started to wake up (not usual behaviour). Luckily this op site isn't getting in the way of their favorite snuggle positions Grin

Good riddance to George AllergictoIroning. Boy and girl cat sound as if they recognised you were ill. Hope you are feeling back to normal today (I know the big un is still to come.)

No risk of contagion in the middle of a field of cow pats!

That made me laugh TheLongRider and reminded me of when I was little and went to Ireland. I so hoped the cows on my uncle’s farm would be like pets, being so totally urban and ignorant of Things Rural.

swampytiggaa · 13/03/2020 08:28

Morticia says she’s glad George has gone @Allergictoironing 💕

I have the joys of being neutropenic so I'm avoiding people Grin

Papergirl1968 · 13/03/2020 09:48

I may have Coronavirus! 😷
I mean, I probably haven’t, it’s likely to be just a cold, but started coughing yesterday, feeling shivery and developed a headache, and the government are saying to self isolate for a week.
I don’t seem to possess a thermometer but I don’t think I have a temperature 🤷🏼‍♀️

Morticia is a vision of fluff and rainbows.

Supersimkin2 · 13/03/2020 10:56

Keep us updated @Papergirl1968!!! You poor thing, let us know if you need owt. Matt and Socks will monitor you closely for signs of functional failure. Grin

@ClientQueen smart move, girrrrl. A couple of my mates are also immunocompromised and are scabbing off work fully renumerated. Advise same ie try and get paid.

Dbro tells me from a foreign land where the schools have shut/everyone WFH that shops have already run out of... beer and crisps.

Justonedayatatime11 · 13/03/2020 11:11

DD and I are in 7 day isolation, with me freaking out as I'm severely immunocompromised Sad.
On a feline note, has anyone ever heard of diabetes, asthma and potassium deficiency in a cat all being stress related?!

Fluffycloudland77 · 13/03/2020 11:37

Oh god I hope none of you have it. We’re on high alert here too, dh is compromised on several fronts.

I’ve never heard of stress causing all those things but that doesn’t mean it can’t happen.

Good news your home Allergic.

Supersimkin2 · 13/03/2020 13:03

Asthma could certainly be stress, as could diabetes @Justonedayatatime11. How awful for you both. Time to catch up on telly and baked goods, at least.

I am too lazy to walk to TK Maxx to get DM a nightdress, so will have to take the Plague Bus.

ClientQueen · 13/03/2020 21:04

I have no words except Paws is a BAD influence

Paws, Ollie, Captain V and all the rest
YesItsMeIDontCare · 13/03/2020 21:42

BAD Paws!!! Leroy needs no influence 🙄.

I still have my cough. I've had it since Octoberish last year. I've had tests, x-rays, antibiotics... the only thing that's changed is that I can now clear a room in seconds 😆.

Fluffycloudland77 · 13/03/2020 21:43

He sees himself a mentor and guide.

TheLongRider · 13/03/2020 21:46

Brotherly undue influence. They make a great pair. I get the impression that Ollie really likes having someone to boss around.

ClientQueen · 13/03/2020 22:15

Video of the idiots now on his FB page Grin

Supersimkin2 · 13/03/2020 23:44

Gruesome twosome Grin All classic comedy comes in pairs. Or paws.

Trying to find the pun for Stan & Ollie but luckily for all, distracted by your beautifully shiny kitchen @ClientQueen.

Capn V on me, roary purring.

ClientQueen · 14/03/2020 10:32

Off to the VET for steroid jab GrinBlush

YesItsMeIDontCare · 14/03/2020 11:11

You, Ollie or Paws? 😁

ClientQueen · 14/03/2020 11:26

Ollie. And paws is having a flea and worm
Ollie has thrown up everywhere and the vet is washing him so he is FUMING

YesItsMeIDontCare · 14/03/2020 13:29

The thought of Leroy being bathed for any reason fills me with horror. The bloodshed would be awful 😱.

Have you taken a pic of Ollie mid fume?

ClientQueen · 14/03/2020 14:24
