Onwards and upwards for the denizens of the Litter Tray. Best of luck to all job-hunting, cat-mourning, Paws-swiping posters. I can't do a proper link to the old thread.

New boy cat arrives on Friday, a one-year old tabby boy currently under the moniker of "Bobby". I don't have a proper picture yet.

Hoomans. She tried to put me out and I climbed in this box so I stayed until 4.30am when I asked to go out. I came back in at 7.25am
(He slept solidly until 4.30)

Grin The Love Queen Strikes Again. You'd better get his microchip changed.

My God you have done an amazing job on Paws as well as Ollie. We bow down.

Is anyone planning to pop the question today? Leap year.

Even tho I am convinced Brad Pitt would say Yes, no room in the bed what with Capn Valentine

Awfully sorry, Bradley. It's not you it's me.

ClientQueen - Time to get a catflap. I had one in a glass door for years and they can be put into a window.

Paws looks great, he's filled out and he's certainly happy to let Ollie be boss mog.

@TheLongRider sadly I am technically not allowed pets Blush so a cat flap would be a dead give away (I own my property and next door have a cat also)
When my tell tale neighbour disappears I could perhaps look at one Grin

Meh, nasty neighbour has her upside. No catflap = she's saved you running Britain's Biggest Pet Rescue. Which would happen whether you like it or not.

Capn V has been visited and praised heavily by junior family. He flirted madly, sashayed round waving tail, and graciously allowed contact.

Did he let them rub his belly?.

Report
Supersimkin2 · 29/02/2020 22:27

Almost. I have been allowed Entry to the Land of Fluff, payment 3 Dreamies (packets).

I brushed his tum again this am, he didn't like it much at first but we both emerged unscathed. Apricots 'n' cream under there, lion orange on top.

Little Paws has own blanket... might the next be monogrammed?

Capn V doesn't like his breakfast. I know because:

  1. A 6-kilo spinning orange flies through flat, lands on Sunday paper. A sit-in is staged.
  2. I am led to kitchen by sashaying fluffy haunches, stiff with indignation
  3. Did you know cats have eyebrows? They were raised.

M&S isn't open yet. You try telling that to someone who is sitting on the bed giving you evils and pretending not to speak English.

Matt has had a balding patch on his side for a couple of weeks which seems to be getting bigger.
There is still fur there but it is shorter and feels bristly. No cuts or tenderness as far as I can tell.
I’m thinking he’s getting it caught on a fence or something when he’s out? Squeezing through a gap that he’s really too big to get through?
Any ideas, anyone?

This shows the contrast between his usual thick fur and the baldy bit

Personally I think Matt is up for a trip to the v.e.t.

I hope not if I can help it, Spartacus but if needs must...
I’ve also looked for signs he is ripping how own fur out through stress but haven’t seen him and he’s the most laid back cat ever. Besides which it’s not completely ripped out, just short and bristly 🤷🏼‍♀️

Flea allergy?.

Over grooming or lying too close to the radiator? Previous neighbours had a cat that would lie on the windowsill, drape her tail over the radiator and lose fur!

Either way I think it's worth a trip. Sorry Matt.

He does like to lie on the radiator, Yes.
I hope he doesn’t have fleas. Why would it be just one patch though, and wouldn’t the skin look red, Fluffy?

Just he looks even more gorgeous in that pic, really shows off his markings. He's so BIIIG!

I am being given the cold shoulder today by Girlcat - took her to see the V. E. T. for her annual MoT & jabs. Caught her surprisingly easily & got her stuffed in the crate with no "incidents", then she just lay there looking pathetic while I got my coat on. Cried every minute of the journey unless I had fingers poked into the crate, and every time we went round a corner.

Cried in the vet's waiting room until I put my hand in to stroke her. Went all limp & pathetic for the vet himself (who is lovely & a cat person), and tried to crawl BACK into the crate she hated so much. Not a squeak out of her when prodded, weighed, and injected, just crawled (literally) back into the crate as soon as we let her. Cried all the way home - traffic was bad, so had to keep both hands free just in case. She's now 4.8 kilos (up from 4.5 kilos), but lovely vet said she isn't too fat. He also commented on her incredibly soft & silky coat Grin

Boycat's turn on Friday. He makes her look macho & confident, but he will probably have forgotten all about it before supper time.

Oh Just, HRH Is exquisite.

And there's nothing like the paws-in-the-air-like-you-just-don't-care Long that shows true love.

Well done Allergic that's a vet visit and a half.

Capn V has taken against a pink bra. He's cornered it, stunned it with massive hairy paws, and dragged the body under the chair in the bedroom to eat later.

OMG Leroy - my parents got our family heirloom out of a skip, tell that to the haterz. Rare and pricy Georgian chair, super comfortable it is too.
