Onwards and upwards for the denizens of the Litter Tray. Best of luck to all job-hunting, cat-mourning, Paws-swiping posters. I can't do a proper link to the old thread.

New boy cat arrives on Friday, a one-year old tabby boy currently under the moniker of "Bobby". I don't have a proper picture yet.

Dd has asked if Matt might have tried to have sex with Socks. He wouldn’t, would he? He’s neutered and I’ve never seen him humping anything!

Matts not physically capable.

Matt's a) a gent who wouldn't touch a teen b) i don't think he can do it. That's more than you can say for Prince Andrew.

Cystitis, I'd say.

@swampytiggaa serious sweetness going on there.

@Supersimkin2 that’s why we ended up with all three 💕 They are so nice natured as well. Morticia yowls if she is on her own at all. Last night I had 2 in my room and my daughter had the other in hers. My two were vigorously cleaning each other for quite a long time before they went to sleep 💕

I got plastic granules, pipette and sample tube thingy from the vets.

(Sorry for late answer - I'm slightly under the weather with a crappy throat dying.)

One or both cats appear to have used - or at least walked over - their litter tray in the night, but can't say for sure that Socks did.
Dd thinks she could be in season and she’s definitely mewing a lot more. The licking of the genitals seems to fit too.
I think I’m still going to take her to the vet but I’ll feel really stupid if it does just turn out she’s in season.
Never had a girl before. Boy cats are much more straightforward!

Thanks, Yes. I am too. Woke myself up wheezing a few times.
How are you, Lana?

Ok so she’s booked in for 11.45. Vet nurse said it could be a combination of UTI and being in season.

I'm here Smile Ollie was not impressed with me going to be at 7.30 last night, made his thoughts known by chucking a catnip pillow about for a few hours Hmm
Paws dropped in for a snack but didn't want to stay

Socks appears to have urinary tract inflammation rather than infection.
She’s had an injection and got some tablets and we have to go back if she doesn’t improve.

Well done Paper at least you know and have nipped anything nasty in the bud.

Get down to the doc yerself now - it starts with wheezing. I am miles better and only on 4th lot of ABs, fine, knackered-but-upright.

Woke up in the night to feel very, very soft little paws walking about on my feet. :)

That's a furry tale of myth and majesty!

She is lovely.

She's secretly my favourite. I'm the only person she likes, well, tolerates. I wish I could work out why she's so volatile when her brother is so laid back, they were both brought up exactly the same Hmm

Ohh, I replied to you earlier, Lana, don’t know where it went - probably on to another thread, lol.
Anyway, it just said it’s so lovely to hear that Little K ventured on to your bed. Your patience is paying off!

I misread your post Queen, as Paws dropped in for a smack but didn’t want to stay.
Poor Paws, no wonder, I thought, before reading it again!

@Papergirl1968 GrinGrin
TBF Ollie has been screamed at tonight Blush he miaowed at me constantly for 45 mins while I was trying to install new broadband so I screeched at him to shut up and he's only just speaking to me again. I can't do technical with a cat going. Miaow. Miaow. Mama. Miaow. It's like a toddler!
Paws has had two snacks so far...

Papergirl1968 · 26/11/2019 20:05

I’ve just done it again and read that as Paws has had two smacks so far!

I'm sure Ollie was only trying to offer technical assistance. Smile
Matt is annoying at the moment for keep getting under my feet. I’m carrying a load of washing or whatever down the stairs and there’s Matt sitting on the bottom step refusing to move. “Can you please shift?” Or “you’re going to get trodden on” has no effect.
He might deign to get up
after a nudge with my foot and me simultaneously barking “move!”

Mr C did that, it's terrifying. I screamed You'll Kill Us Both (never been one to miss out on a bit of drama).

I think Ollie was being a typical bloke and mog-splaining what you were supposed to do. Of course he's in a huff, you've hurt his masculine pride.

He was definitely mansplaining at TOP VOLUME which is very helpful HmmGrin
He has had a cuddle and is now quietly playing with a cotton bud Confused
Between his wailing and me wrestling Paws out the bin every minute, it's a wonder I've not gone mad

Socks is entertaining herself by tossing a morsel of steak around the floor.
Will she eat her medication-laced wet food? Will she heck!

Heads up for kitten crisis #3. Despite being under the impression he was healthy, Little K has flu. He's not feeling well. Now he also has developed parasitic diarrhea, presum from birth family. His beautiful golden eyes are dimmed and bleary, I think he's got conjunctivitis too.

Not eating much. Makes a change. Has managed 5 min of tinkly feather and a few dreamies so all is not lost.

Calling vet first thing. I will stay in with him till we have course of action. :)

Flapping like a girl here, that being homed when he was so ill and so feral and so young will have damaged his ability to settle. Filled with urge to soothe him by stroking, but that would just mean 2 medical trips.

Tiny brave lion definitely appreciates me as a dreamie dispenser. As compliments go, I've had worse.
