Onwards and upwards for the denizens of the Litter Tray. Best of luck to all job-hunting, cat-mourning, Paws-swiping posters. I can't do a proper link to the old thread.

New boy cat arrives on Friday, a one-year old tabby boy currently under the moniker of "Bobby". I don't have a proper picture yet.

What a clever boy Ollie is, learning from his friend! Smile. Takes Boycat months & months to pick anything up from Girlcat (if ever!).

Supersimkin2 · 23/02/2020 16:47

He's showing off.

Have they ganged up on you as a team yet?

ClientQueen · 23/02/2020 16:57

Not just yet... don't encourage them

TheLongRider · 23/02/2020 17:09

So you can teach an old cat new tricks.Grin

He did spend 5 mins rocking on the floor to get up the nerve to jump Grin

Cat domination is complete. Managed to convince poor DH that we really don't need a dining room. Or 2 sofas.... Charlie now has his own designated bedroom, complete with new sofa.... Grin

Ensweet.

Bobby V has shat and pissed the bed so badly I am having to bin the mattress.

Does not like lidded tray, evidently. Thoughts? I am sleeping on the sofa for obvious reasons.

coastergirl · 23/02/2020 21:06

@Supersimkin2 when I got Bertie (as a terrified feral kitten) he wouldn't go in the lidded litter tray. I took the lid off for a couple of weeks, gradually put it on but without the door etc. It took ages but he got there.

A very close friend has just got a dog and keeps wanting to bring it here but I won't let him. He says it is good with cats, but I just feel like Bertie is so timid and this is his safe place. I'm not risking that! And it's not fair on Walter either. Putting my kitties first.

Pic of the boys just because.

Oh no, Lana
I have no advice but sending you hugs ((()))
I thought his name was Captain Valentine, not Bobby? Confused

TheLongRider · 23/02/2020 22:14

Super - Is it a "fuck you" dirty protest? Or an "Oh dear I forgot to get to the tray on time". The first is harder to deal with than the second. Have you got a couple of litter trays in different places?

Is he ok otherwise, chatty, feeding well etc.? Do you know much about his previous habits?

I haven't had a cat behave like that for a long time. The last time it happened the cat was being bullied and was upset with the world.

I have already forgiven Cap'n Bobby Valentine (rank + full name) for Superturd.

I don't know, he had two fresh trays but shat all over where I sit in bed. He might have been freaked out by a loud noise when I was doing good works at the shop this pm.

He looked really guilty when I came in and I wondered why, just assumed he's been on the rob. But he knew. I need a new mattress anyway.

Lid off tray, let's see. He has been back on bed for a cuddle and a brush, during which I managed to cut out an ancient mat from where his collar was, so he can't be frightened of me, which is the main thing.

Or frightened of me brandishing the kitchen scissors at his throat, so that's not at all a bad day all in all. He purred.

YetAnotherSpartacus · 24/02/2020 08:56

Naughty boy! Have you considered getting some light plastic sheeting for soft furnishings until he is a bit more settled and a regular user of the LT?

Supersimkin2 · 24/02/2020 14:59

Nice idea gal.

As of this am we are back using tray.

I've just come off the loo myself, rather discombobulated, which might explain things. Workmen messing around in flats drilling.

Just as I was settling into a state of ladylike relaxation in the bathroom, the whole bathroom shook and a cacophony of noise exploded beneath my tiny exquisite posterior.

Shouting fuck, fled incontinent.

Turns out they're drilling into the ceilings for fibre broadband or something.

No wonder Capn V got a shock. Must go and find pants.

Papergirl1968 · 24/02/2020 17:46

Oh dear, Lana! Grin

Supersimkin2 · 24/02/2020 19:22

Just about recovered. The broadband line is right under the loo. Masonry drills x 7 required to go through the foundations.

Honestly, it was like the toilet had turned into a shaking monster and its huge mouth opened wide to roar for my bare arse.

Very upset about the whole thing Grin

ClientQueen · 25/02/2020 07:20

Just about to leave for work, paws has gone out, Ollie in. I shut the window and go to give Ollie some food. Turn around to find two expectant faces. Ollie "uh oh paws. Busted"
Had to pick him up to put him out and he growled at me when I got to the window Blush and then sat outside looking mournful Sad

Supersimkin2 · 25/02/2020 09:01

Paws! You Know What To Do. Can you leave him inside in this weather? He's found his True Home, see.

Capn V kipped with me. Doesn't fidget. Does ask for midnight snack. Snores.

Makes two of us Grin

ClientQueen · 25/02/2020 09:23

I'm not convinced I can trust the pair of them enough for 8hrs with no supervision
Suspect there would be blood or Paws would be remodelling the place Grin

nettie434 · 25/02/2020 13:26

I'm not convinced I can trust the pair of them enough for 8hrs with no supervision

Now I am imagining an Ollie and Paws party with lots of jumping about, possibly inviting some naughty neighbourhood cats in too. Dreamies will be consumed and cat nip mice grappled with.

YesItsMeIDontCare · 25/02/2020 16:24

Now I am imagining an Ollie and Paws party

And I'm imagining Queen has a Worcester boiler.....

ClientQueen · 25/02/2020 17:49

I don't Grin
Paws has just jumped out a box and dive bombed Ollie. Guess who got it on video...

Supersimkin2 · 25/02/2020 18:38

Go on then... suspect Ollie & Paws Home Alone would be cert 18.
