New boy cat arrives on Friday, a one-year old tabby boy currently under the moniker of "Bobby". I don't have a proper picture yet.

Yes. If they can't be adopted TCN will keep them together. Industrial vats of Dreamies have been sent to the little lads.

Paws has really blossomed - he looks glossy and healthy and confident Queen, and so happy. I think Ollie enjoys his friend.

Small stable kitten update. So we had stable cat 1 who discovered the aga, and promptly was never seen outside again. Sadly he had to be PTS last year and the house at the stables was a bit empty without a cat
Ginge trotted down to the house with her big eyes and looked pleading and has ahem, moved in. Fred is being a GOOD stable cat and proving very loyal to following people about and sitting at their feet while they teach lessons
So they're still together (about 50m apart)

Ginge!!! Lap cat all along!!! May she be feted with the softest pillows, the freshest steaks and the crunchiest Dreamies. Such a talented lady.

Is Ginge still ratting or has Fred taken over as the resident hunter?

I'm not sure to be honest! I imagine she is still hunting as she comes up to the stables to nick Freds food and give him a quick smack

Matt has been a very loving boy this weekend. He currently has his bottom on the sofa and his front legs draped over my right thigh.
He’s so heavy now that if he has his entire weight on me my legs really hurt!

Matt is relentlessly splendiferous. Look at the love in his eyes, it's getting towards Ollie adoration levels.

Nothing like being stuck down to the furniture to achieve compulsory relaxation.

I know! I looked up from my phone to find him gazing at me like this 😻

He luvs ya. Nice for him to have a full cuddle and post-scritch relaxation session.

Was in bed lying in my back this morning when Matt climbed on my chest.
Socks had been by my feet but not to be outdone decided to climb up on my lap.
I felt simultaneously warm and squashed and loved.
Although Socks freaked me out last night. She was asleep on the back of the sofa and sat up, looking at something in the hall. Seemed intrigued rather than scared (and she’s scared of everything!) craning her neck for a better look. Eventually she lay back down but kept casting the occasional glance towards the hall - as did I!

Is there a cat that doesn't do Channel 5-style ghostbusting??

Mr C did it at night, living in hope of a mouse.

Wednesday and Morticia are asleep in the cat tree. There’s only really room for one of them. Gomez is pissed off because that’s her spot. I expect to see her lying on top of them next time I look 😂😂😂

You need a bigger tree swampy. Or 2 more of that size. They'll all still try and sleep in the same spot, but it won't be your fault iyswim.

I had to leave my job today, thanks to my rapidly declining health . Darcy thinks this is a good thing as she can spend more time draped round my neck and demanding fuss
