Onwards and upwards for the denizens of the Litter Tray. Best of luck to all job-hunting, cat-mourning, Paws-swiping posters. I can't do a proper link to the old thread.

New boy cat arrives on Friday, a one-year old tabby boy currently under the moniker of "Bobby". I don't have a proper picture yet.

Sending you hugs Super. Remember he's going to live the best cat life there is, and your perfect feline is waiting in the wings to join you centre stage!

TheLongRider · 23/01/2020 08:53

Ah now, be kind to yourself Super. It's another bereavement of sorts. In some ways it's a bit different to a death because Little K is still alive but he has gone from your life. You're allowed to grieve and the Litter Tray will support you.Flowers

Thank you so much both. I am trying not to moan or this thread will turn into a Cat Loss Support Group which is really, really not what we all want, I am sure.

Paws and Ollie would be livid for a start Grin

Papergirl1968 · 23/01/2020 10:35

Oh Lana, sending hugs ((())) just wish we lived closer so I could give you one in person.
You moan all you like. You’ve had a shit time lately and you’ll always find someone here to listen and console.

YetAnotherSpartacus · 23/01/2020 12:03

Take care Lana. Mr K will go on to have a wonderful kitty life minus the yellow sticker treats and I am sure that there will be a more inner-city flat friendly kitty out there for you somewhere.

ClientListQueen · 23/01/2020 12:15

Paws and Ollie are both sending giant hugs. If it helps, Paws put Ollie in a headlock last night, then Ollie shoved him out the window Hmm

Justonedayatatime11 · 23/01/2020 15:20

Someone went exploring today Grin

He looks almost as posh in his coat as Leroy looks in his when it was first bought and hadn't, literally, been dragged through a hedge backwards.

Did he have fun?

Justonedayatatime11 · 23/01/2020 19:54

YesItsMeIDontCare he certainly did. Tolerated the jacket very well! He's eaten his body weight in raw steak today so he needed some exercise to burn it off!

Papergirl1968 · 23/01/2020 20:42

He looks very regal.
Was he used to a harness?

Supersimkin2 · 23/01/2020 20:58

First ever exclusive pics of King Charles.

Justonedayatatime11 · 23/01/2020 22:28

Discovered this evening he's also partial to a chilli heatwave Dorito Hmm. Not quite as classy as he looks!
He'd had a harness before but I don't know how often it was used, or how often he went outside. He's bemused by other cats, he doesn't quite know what to do with them. Which makes me think his social skills need some work! Off to the vets Monday morning in an attempt to get his claws cut without sedation. Frankly, I don't fancy my chances!

TheSparklyPussycat · 23/01/2020 23:21

Justoneday he looks so regal and like the cats in Ancient Egypt that I feel a primeval urge to worship him.
Sympathy to all those in the midst of stuff.
DDDCat is settling in well at hers. I went over the other evening and she did roly polies for me.
Here she is.
Dammit, why do my pics upload in the wrong orientation? You may have to crook your necks.

Oh - it came out alright Smile

Supersimkin2 · 24/01/2020 10:00

It took me a week every time to get Mr C's claws cut. The vet flatly refused to try.

I used to cut my toenails at the same time to give him the idea it was harmless :)

Allergictoironing · 24/01/2020 10:09

Boycat was the same about getting his pedicure - fear in his case & luckily for me no violence, but he did SQUIRM so & run away. I would do literally half a paw at a time, then let him go for at least a couple of days. Now I can do 2 paws in one sitting, then the other 2 later the same day.

Papergirl1968 · 24/01/2020 11:31

I would have sworn that was Ollie, Sparkly Smile

ClientListQueen · 24/01/2020 11:33

Ollie is being weird and demolishing any wet food (even chunks in jelly) and ignoring his dry Confused

Papergirl1968 · 24/01/2020 13:31

How’s Paws, Queen?

ClientListQueen · 24/01/2020 14:50

Ollie whacked him over the head, paws whacked him back, dived in the bin and emerged triumphantly with a crisp packet (empty)
As bonkers as usual Grin

ClientListQueen · 24/01/2020 14:51

suze28 · 24/01/2020 16:10

@ClientListQueen is this today or last night when Paws was hammering to be let in?
I think the love between them is growing 🙄

Papergirl1968 · 24/01/2020 16:33

Aww bless, a stand off over an empty crisp packet Grin

Supersimkin2 · 24/01/2020 19:24

Ollie knows the best bits are the bottom - and now he's thirsty, hence the wet food.

Little K has been reunited with his brother and has played!!!!!!!!! My heart cracks but he is in the right place, eh. Little darling love needs to be with his brother.

TheLongRider · 24/01/2020 21:56

Paws has really filled out. He's no longer the gangly looking kitten of six months ago.

Super - I'm glad to hear that Little K is playing with his brother. He's had tinkly feather training from the best.
