New boy cat arrives on Friday, a one-year old tabby boy currently under the moniker of "Bobby". I don't have a proper picture yet.

Well, it will give me a chance to rest my current crop of various ailments! And will make my ex-boss from a previous job happy, as he's freelance now & wants me to do a couple of weeks work for him in January

Lana I'm betting before long you won't be able to get Little K off your lap. I still can't get Bertie to come to me when I want him to, but when he's in the mood he won't leave me alone. He has a very hard, pointy nose which he uses to full effect. He often knocks things out of my hands.

I just wanted to say Merry Christmas to you all. This thread has been a bit of light for me these past few months, when life has been very difficult. I really appreciate it.

Echoing Coaster, this has been a shitty year, but the antics of the litter tray cats have made me smile.

My Christmas gift from Girlcat has been her deciding yesterday evening that The Best Thing Ever is to sneak between me & the back of the sofa when I'm lying with my legs up on it, and lie there snuggled between my arm & my body with her chin being stroked. She spent most of the evening there, with spells of staring softly into my eyes.

There's catnip all over the flat and in my pants. No sign of Little K. I suspect he is snoring behind the fridge after brekker.

I have only just escaped from being pinned down by Girlcat, who was lying half beside me and half on my arm. This was after she'd been using my leg for a pillow. She's NEVER done this type of thing before this week - maybe after 6.5 or so years she's decided I can be trusted. Best Xmas EVAH!

Well... on Xmas Night at 4am I felt a small, wet nose nuzzling my hand.

Fallen asleep holding Dreamies - loud crunching announced the arrival of dawn. Then a distinct weight grabbed the duvet at the end of the bed, and it didn't go.

I've been dozing on the bed earlier with Girlcat, having tummy rubs & watching the cricket. She's been doing that thing where she kneads with her back paws as well as her front - never heard of a cat doing that before!

We had a waif and stray too, just not of the feline variety. One of dd’s friends who has gone off the rails somewhat and been kicked out of home.

Overcatering here has come into its own - nothing better than cold roastie dippers in a spot of microwaved red cabbage. Little K mad for leftover turkey. Sofa snacks, perfect. I'm only moving for Lindt.

Papergirl, I was referring to the fridge, not the oven. Even humans can smell turkey cooking, but it takes a cat (or a dog, i imagine) to smell it as it comes, uncooked, out of the fridge.

Hope everyone had a happy day yesterday. DD (28) announced she would be getting a cat in the New Year. I'm excited, she only lives a few streets away.

Ah yes, the fridge, sparkly. Matt puts his two front paws on the bottom shelf and stares into the depths. I thought he was going to climb in the other day.
Dd kicked off tonight and her friend egged her on so they have gone, Lana. I’m not proud of myself for physically trying to remove said friend but she wound me up by running up the stairs when I’d told them both to get out. Bertie has an enormous fluffy tail tonight, not sure what's bothering him. Could be the parcel shelf from my car being in the hallway? I tried to get a good photo of the magnificent tail but struggled. It's settling a bit now. He's on my lap, purring and kneading my blanket.
