Onwards and upwards for the denizens of the Litter Tray. Best of luck to all job-hunting, cat-mourning, Paws-swiping posters. I can't do a proper link to the old thread.

New boy cat arrives on Friday, a one-year old tabby boy currently under the moniker of "Bobby". I don't have a proper picture yet.

It’s still relatively early days, Lana. We’ve had Socks since August and she still freaks out at strange noises like me putting my coat on Confused
Haven’t thrown up again but don’t feel right so have just cancelled breakfast with a friend tomorrow.

Supersimkin2 · 16/12/2019 20:45

Smart move, stay in bed.

Little K went hysterical at mirrored wrapping paper. Flew out of bed at 2am to hide family presents in a duvet in case he pissed on them.

coastergirl · 16/12/2019 21:22

@Supersimkin2 What really helped me when I first got Bertie was to keep reminding myself that as much as I wanted him to become friendly etc, what I really cared about was just that he was happy and well cared for. It helped me to relax a bit. We were told never to expect him to be a lap cat because of his past and not being socialised at all. He's surprised everyone and is a lap cat, but totally on his own terms. I've had him for almost 18 months and I can't walk up to him and pick him up, but he will come to me for cuddles when he feels like it. Little K will get there. You are doing an amazing job with him!

Supersimkin2 · 16/12/2019 21:32

Thank you @coastergirl that is lovely balm to the soul.

Feel for me tho' - a fat fluffy kitten tum, not to be touched. Guantamo for soppy catwomen. Grin

swampytiggaa · 16/12/2019 21:40

Idiot kittens like the utility room sink almost as much as the kitchen sink 🙂

Ooh @Supersimkin2 that does sound like torture. If you were closer I'd lend you Walter. He's a chunk and loves belly strokes. And everywhere strokes.

ClientListQueen · 16/12/2019 21:44

You can have a lend of Ollie too. He likes head bops, belly rubs, paw holding and bear hugs the best

Supersimkin2 · 16/12/2019 21:58

You have no idea how close you are to a new guest for Crimbles Grin

coastergirl · 16/12/2019 22:39

Here's my little formerly feral kitten right now. Snuggled up to my legs.

@Supersimkin2 is going to have an influx of kitty house-guests!

Excuse the mess. Definitely could have cropped out the toddler shoes and empty wine bottle!

Supersimkin2 · 17/12/2019 09:18

Lovely little kit. My last pic featured a massive pair of grey pants as the centrepiece, @coastergirl. Larger than the kitten. Way larger.

We're all friends here Grin

I got woken up in the night by furry kitten whiskers investigating Face of the Monster.

Papergirl1968 · 17/12/2019 12:53

He wouldn’t have done that a month ago, Lana. You’re winning, slowly but surely.

Weezol · 17/12/2019 13:01

Super Weezolcat was probably 10-12 months when she came to live with me and despite being an 'owned' indoor cat was about 80% feral and very, very wary. She'd been taken back from her first rehoming as they had been physical with her and locked her in a dark room to punish her for walking behind the telly and leaving nose smudges on a window.

I was allowed to touch after about three months, though I should have bought shares in Elastoplast.

Over the years she progressed from being two feet away on the same sofa to being squashed next to my legs.

I'd given up all hope of lapcat. Six years later she gave me a 'oh go on then face' and deigned to give it a try. We're up to about 15 minutes now. She also stands on me regularly and has learned to retract her claws when batting for attention. Well, unless I'm being slow/less than responsive - then I get twatted.

Photo shows me being pinned down by formerly untouchable ball of fear and fury.

Papergirl1968 · 17/12/2019 15:06

Weezol, how awful. The bastards.
Thank goodness you came into her life.

Supersimkin2 · 17/12/2019 15:58

@Weezol she's looking pleased with herself, as well she might. She luffs you deep. Weezolcat is a fine example to us all of female strength.

Papergirl1968 · 17/12/2019 16:49

Socks just fled in terror because I accidentally dropped a tiny piece of ham on her back.
Anyone would think it was a grenade from her reaction 😹

Supersimkin2 · 18/12/2019 10:23

Someone ate all the flaked almonds off the top of the M&S luxury mince pies (yellow sticker) in the night.

YetAnotherSpartacus · 18/12/2019 12:10

Was someone congratulated for his stealth, ingenuity and appetite?

Supersimkin2 · 18/12/2019 14:22

Yes. No one has been sick either. But we both smell of pee after we got a bit too relaxed on the duvet. Cat pee (hastily added).

Just came when called for a bit of yellow sticker bacon. Crispy!

swampytiggaa · 19/12/2019 17:30

Had a package delivered. Gomez has decided she wants to be posted out 🙂

That's a lovely fur-trimmed Xmas card.

HIs fur is lush at the mo. So glossy.

ClientListQueen · 20/12/2019 21:12

That'll be the salmon oil he demands on every meal and the melted butter he's currently licking up Grin
