I think Matt's at serious risk of loosing some weight if the midnight steeplechase continues.
Fluffy sadly not. I've had several surgeries and have had a ileostomy for 15 years, so it's kind of the way of things. Steroids are the answer but local medics are insanely risk averse and have a total blind spot when it comes to quality of life, so it's a 'life' on ESA these days.
I know the risks of steroids and have successfully reversed osteoparotic markers several times with diet and exercise - I'm a differential diagnosis volunteer for med students and an ostomate peer-trainer when I'm fit, but apparently deemed incapable of informed opinion (vis 'childbearing years, despite the fact I'm in my forties). If I was male I would have been on low level steroids for years and probably still have some kind of job.
