Camhs and children’s services are utterly useless, Lana. I’ve asked for help and said I can’t keep her safe so many times.
Pleased to report that Socks was alive and well when we eventually got home, and had not ended up as Matt’s lunch. Actually Socks seemed hungrier than Matt did.
I told dd on the way home that Socks WOULD be neutered. She has been listening to boyfriend’s family who don’t have pets neutered or even vaccinated. I said firmly, “that’s not how WE do things,” and for once she didn’t argue.
Poor Mr C. And poor you. Does he seem ok in himself?

Supersimkin · 06/09/2019 20:52

Yes he does seem very cheery, he's just roaring with purr demanding to be fed again.

Well done re Socks, she's Matt's kitten for now. DD no doubt appreciates the sacred bond of kitty friendship. Mr C only got neutered when he was 5; there's a whole street in Battersea where every cat sports his trademark beauty spot.

Pet cloning in China has taken off.

Fluffy you could get two asbos!

Weezol · 06/09/2019 21:10

I had to wait and see with Weezolcat - nobody in her original home could remember if she'd ever been done. She was way too traumatised to be put back into a car after arriving with me.

I had never heard a cat come into season before. It was certainly a 2am alarm call I'll never forget...
She was very, very good. I left the Cone of Shame on overnight and took it off the next day ao she could eat. It never went back on, she seemed to know to leave the site alone.

The photo is the day after she arrived. I'd forgotten just what a state she was in.

Ollie is eating peanut butter. I swear this cat is a dustbin for human food
Offer him actual cat food and unless it's organic/grain free/unicorn tears "I no FANK YOO Mama, just have some delicious cabbage instead" Confused

Papergirl1968 · 06/09/2019 21:42

Aww what a difference in Weezolcat. Poor little girl really fell on her feet when she came to you, Weezol.
As for Mr C, well, he has an empty tummy now, Lana...Wink
Matt is being pretty good with sharing food but chicken proved too much tonight. He had to be picked up and taken into the kitchen to prevent him demolishing hers after eating his own. He glared at her through the glass door which unsurprisingly put her off her food somewhat!

Supersimkin · 06/09/2019 22:13

Mr C's also done rather a lot of chicken and managed cat food, slightly taking me aback. We're in bed, having a groom and chatting 'Any plans for the weekend Sir?' 'Might take a walk. Can you just get that bit on my chin... yes that's it. Carry on!'

He loves the finale, a once over with baby wipes.

Supersimkin · 06/09/2019 22:14

Weezolcat is so lush now, she's prac unrecognizable.

YesQueen · 06/09/2019 23:26

"I'm so cute. Show them how cute I am mama"

Is it Ollie's new chair day today?

YesQueen · 07/09/2019 10:30

It is ollies new chair day! I fully expect him to be horrified for about an hour until he clambers on it and then refuses to move ever again

YesQueen · 07/09/2019 12:54

Is this for me?

YetAnotherSpartacus · 07/09/2019 13:04

Well, who else is it for? Really!

Weezol · 07/09/2019 14:04

A delicate inspection process is under way.

Ssssh! Ollie is checking MA Throne. Will be interested to see how Paws treats it.

Weezolcat is alternating between 'Gimme adoration now, I neeeed you' and 'Leave me in peace woman, for the love of Bastet can I get some damn SPACE!'

coastergirl · 07/09/2019 22:07

Bert has just been snuggled up on my partner's lap...I went to take a photo and Bert legged it. He has a sixth sense. Walt was being very demanding morning. Laid in bed feeding the baby and he was head butting and purring like crazy.

Bert says hi. He's purring so loudly he sounds like a helicopter overhead.

YetAnotherSpartacus · 08/09/2019 12:39

Ollivander - we need a chair update.

Also, how are you feeling now after the awful shock re your horse? Flowers

YetAnotherSpartacus · 08/09/2019 12:40

Shit - I mean 'Yes Queen' Blush

YesQueen · 08/09/2019 13:26

Still stunned really and I'm crying a lot still but it's going to take time
Ollie is currently not speaking to me. He has a scab on his leg and I tried to inspect it but I am NOT allowed (he slapped my hand with his paw and said MA-MA very indignantly)

YetAnotherSpartacus · 08/09/2019 13:31

Take care Queen. I can't imagine what it must be like. Horses are very special. At least you have Ollie to take care of you boss you around

Weezol · 08/09/2019 16:02

Ollie is currently not speaking to me.

Try wondering aloud about Paws. 'I wonder where Paws is' 'Haven't seen Paws today. I like Paws' 'Paws is such a good cat' and if you need the heavy artillery 'I do hope Paws likes the new chair I got especially for him.'

Papergirl1968 · 08/09/2019 18:55

Weezol! Grin

YesQueen · 08/09/2019 19:05

Paws has actually popped in. There was no inspection of the chair, just a quick fast food snack and bye bye
Ollie is licking the scab and glaring at me Blush oh well, the V.E.T can poke it on Tuesday when he has his steroid, flea and worm treatment don't tell him

Fluffycloudland77 · 08/09/2019 19:15

Do they both like the new baby Coast?.

Supersimkin · 08/09/2019 20:37

That deliberately-loud purr is known as 'anticipatory' ie pussy wants a snack.

You can't sleep through it, but I bet the baby loves it.
