Come one, come all to the Olli et al. appreciation thread.

Mr C has started wheezing again. Give me strength.

On the upside, might see Nurse Lee tomorrow. Not in my skimpy lace nightie, Spart (good plan tho Grin).

Matt has forgiven me.
Good to see you popping up,
Cosie.

Weezol · 27/06/2019 06:53

Are we absolutely sure Ollie isn't the model for Toothless in 'How to Train your Dragon'? Jacket Potato Face really reminds me of that film.

Brew for Cozie

It's all gone a bit TraumaCat here - sparks came to measure up for new heaters so I got walloped for letting them arrive during nap time. I should have booked them for 4.30 am so they could applaud Weezolcat's Wall of Death zoomies.

Supersimpkin · 27/06/2019 08:11

Tenderly woken by theatrical retching, followed by Scimitar, The Claw of Doom. Mr C looks up and around when Scimitar is shredding an artery - the very furry face of innocence.

Am going to beg Nurse Lee for a pet-icure, sedation or not.

YesQueen · 27/06/2019 11:55

@Weezol I do call him toothless Grin or fang

Supersimpkin · 27/06/2019 12:23

Pate proved acceptable as compensation for the pet-icure.

All at surgery delighted at age, rude health and zesty spirit of Mr C. Medical miracle, etc., put down to Power of Love.

YesQueen · 27/06/2019 20:09

Chunk does not approve of the heat

Supersimpkin · 27/06/2019 20:19

He's fully relaxed.

I'm back from a lovely chill - literally - in M&S, where I spent an inappropriate amount of time choosing Mr C's supper in the deli section and hanging over the ice cream freezer lurking for yellow sticker lady.

TheLongRider · 28/06/2019 09:20

Home grown spuds for the baked potato tester. It's nicely warm.over here so mine are spending their days hiding in the broccoli plants or sleeping on my bed.

@TheLongRider Ollie is peering over my shoulder. I think there is drool because POTATOES ARE THE BEST

YesQueen · 28/06/2019 19:30

Off to vet, Ollie v unwell will post when I'm there Sad

Fluffycloudland77 · 28/06/2019 19:44

Oh no, has he eaten something?

YesQueen · 28/06/2019 19:55

Just seen. V high temp, and they think infection somewhere so he's having some drugs now

Supersimpkin · 28/06/2019 20:36

We are all with you in spirit, thinking of you both. Don't worry darling. Gin Gin Gin Flowers Gin Gin Gin

Supersimpkin · 28/06/2019 20:37

Oh Lordy Long those potatoes look utterly delectable. I am dribbling madly.

YesQueen · 28/06/2019 20:48

We are home. He's had three doses of antibiotics, and a shit load of steroids. Breathing v fast and she said the high temp would be making him feel unwell
What's his symptoms, she asked
Me "he didn't greet me at the door"
Vet HmmConfused
She got him out the carrier and said "oh this isn't Ollie like at all"
He's also lost 0.2kg ConfusedConfused

Fluffycloudland77 · 28/06/2019 20:52

Poor sod, he must feel awful. When do they want to see him again?.

YesQueen · 28/06/2019 20:55

Sunday or before if he worsens
He's sat under the spare bed on a carrier bag just hunched up

Supersimpkin · 28/06/2019 21:02

Not the greatest day for you both. He'll start to feel better now he's home and the ABs will kick in shortly.

At least nothing major says the vet - a relief, try and relax now.

200g weight loss is not a crisis, no need to stress about that. Most of it will be the water he hasn't drunk today.

Give him a kiss from me and Mr C. Take it easy you both.

YesQueen · 28/06/2019 21:07

At least it's not an Aldi carrier bag I guess...

Papergirl1968 · 28/06/2019 21:37

Aww, poor Ollie. Matt and I send our best wishes 😿

YesQueen · 28/06/2019 21:48

He has emerged to clamber on the sofa. I gave him a head bop and he's sat with his head dropping, won't even purr Sad

Supersimpkin · 28/06/2019 21:51

Sofa is good sign.

Mr C won't touch anything from Aldi. Except the cat sticks. Well done Olli, standards remain high even under pressure.

Guiltypleasures001 · 28/06/2019 21:55

Give Darling Ollie a squidge from us, and hope he's feeling better very soon x

YesQueen · 28/06/2019 22:11

He's asleep curled up on my chest now so I will stay up for a while and keep an eye on him

Fluffycloudland77 · 28/06/2019 22:27

Give it 24hrs.
