Come one, come all to the Olli et al. appreciation thread.

Mr C has started wheezing again. Give me strength.

On the upside, might see Nurse Lee tomorrow. Not in my skimpy lace nightie, Spart (good plan tho Grin).

Nothing like his Signature Dish prepared by his Favourite in-house chef Grin

YesQueen · 13/05/2019 20:55

He's becoming quite the human food lover

I think Ollie's developing a double chin!

YesQueen · 13/05/2019 21:58

@Weedsnseeds1 Grin he's topped the dizzy heights of 3.7kg

Papergirl1968 · 13/05/2019 22:23

I found a packet of rump steak in the back of the fridge which was about five weeks out of date. It smelled fine so I cooked it for Matt, who is very much enjoying it Smile

YesQueen · 13/05/2019 22:40

He probably thinks all his Christmas days have come at once Grin tomorrow he will be expecting fillet

YesQueen · 14/05/2019 18:23

Someone is snoring in next doors garden. Flat out on his side. I shouted him and he twitched an ear and rolled over Blush

Supersimpkin · 15/05/2019 10:10

His second garden see, like royalty. They like variety. Louis XIV used to arrange for chamber orchestras to hide in various garden rooms to delight him spontaneously as he rested.

Just saying. Grin

No pills in for two blimmin' days here. Paper I reckon Mr C is on strike after reading the Matt Steak post. Just stumped back with cat sticks.

YesQueen · 15/05/2019 16:40

Do cats lie stretched out when they're hot? Ollie is doing a fantastic impression of a staffie - frog legs out behind him, front legs in superman pose. He seems happy enough HmmGrin

TheLongRider · 15/05/2019 17:41

Mine do! In the winter they sleep on or near the radiator then go and splat in the middle of the kitchen floor until they've cooled down. Repeat ad infinitum.

Supersimpkin · 15/05/2019 20:22

Oh indeedy - Mr C currently in Draught Excluder mode too.

Allergictoironing · 15/05/2019 20:55

Girlcat does a great impression of "cat run over by a steamroller" on the back of the sofa when she's hot...

YesQueen · 15/05/2019 21:10

@Allergictoironing that's the pose. He keeps sighing and lying exhausted on the carpet that he hates

Papergirl1968 · 16/05/2019 00:03

Matt does a great impress of "cat flattened by a pole!" Grin

TheLongRider · 16/05/2019 08:00

Matt looks like an ad for one of those dodgy claim lawyers. "If you were in an accident that wasn't your fault you may be entitled to compensation."

Papergirl1968 · 16/05/2019 10:25

Lol, yes, he's a good actor - he certainly does a good "poor underfed kitty in need of a good square meal" routine.
Pleased to say he suffered no ill effects from the very out of date steak and it was so huge it lasted him three days.

YesQueen · 16/05/2019 10:28

O is refusing Lily's kitchen currently as "minging"
Core select fish flavour is "much more yummy an can I have some custard after?"

YetAnotherSpartacus · 16/05/2019 10:34

How does Matt feel about tummy smooches?

Supersimpkin · 16/05/2019 12:25

PIx of Girlcat & Matt making everyone's day. Are your hips any better Allergic?

Mr C woke me at dawn peeling back eyelid with a single claw. Dumped himself down on my face while I came to, thumping tail helpfully on chest.

YetAnotherSpartacus · 16/05/2019 12:37

He's better then!

Papergirl1968 · 16/05/2019 17:57

Tummy smooches and tickles are allowed within reason, Spartacus, until suddenly he's had enough then he might lash out.
He is generally very good natured but I keep a wary eye out for the tail starting to thrash...

Supersimpkin · 16/05/2019 18:25

Lashy tail is known as 'He loves you so much he's biting you' response.

Allergictoironing · 16/05/2019 20:19

Hips vastly improved by a visit to my chiropractor - once I'd fought my way through the Doberman & Rhodesian Ridgeback who both adore visitors especially ones who thump them on the ribs & pull their ears. Rhodesian girl decided I needed multiple washes too Grin.

Kitties will be very happy next week, as this contract ends tomorrow. Body will also be happy, as no more walking miles up & down corridors & to other buildings on site. Bank balance will be not so happy, and I'll miss the site stray cats.

Supersimpkin · 16/05/2019 21:17

Stay strong. All us galz at the charity shop are in agonies thanks to shifting 300 kg of rubbish kindly donated by a local yesterday. Bad backs, innit.

Catsbum faces all round today, grudgingly sharing paracetamol, deathly groans while hanging over kettle, etc. We recycled the lot, dvd by tea strainer by old Beano.

I can't walk but on the upside I have the carbon footprint of a fairy angel. Grin

Allergictoironing · 16/05/2019 22:10

Oh today was the worst, as I was working in an area with full protection (lab coat, goggles, face mask, gloves) including safety shoes which have a very solid hard sole. Left foot hasn't been the same since they sliced the ball open to remove a Morton's Neuroma, and I was almost crying despite 60mg codeine and 1g paracetamol. If tomorrow wasn't my last day, I'd be thinking of taking the day off sick.
