Come one, come all to the Olli et al. appreciation thread.

Mr C has started wheezing again. Give me strength.

On the upside, might see Nurse Lee tomorrow. Not in my skimpy lace nightie, Spart (good plan tho Grin).

Ham in bed for breakfast is a life goal that I completely support!

I hope Mr. C is as well as can be expected. My own fluffy idiot had several teeth removed yesterday and I got snuffly purring when I brought him home again. He still has most of his fangs and he's fine, he tried to eat other mog's cat biscuits.

"Where is man hooman? You rubbish"

You are his first and best love, mate. Like it or not. Look at that face.

I'm trying M&S Gastropub gammon shank to get the steroid in. £7.

Looking promising - just caught my ancient, pitifully frail pet taking a break from struggling with his most delicate health jump jet onto the counter for the wrapper,

Didn't even have to be lifted down afterwards with wrapper in jaws.

YesQueen · 13/03/2019 20:36

Ollie is finishing off some cottage pie
9/10 kitty rating, would be better with more butter Hmm

TheLongRider · 13/03/2019 22:52

Everything is improved by more butter!

I'm sure Ollie has settled for snuggling with his human. You'll do until new man waltzes back in to his life.

YesQueen · 13/03/2019 22:54

He's too busy howling. We are back at that stage again where he howls ALL night SadConfused
I think partly it's him wanting to go out and he does seem to go through phases of this but it's been weeks and weeks now

TheLongRider · 13/03/2019 23:26

Do earplugs work? One of mine has a meowl (meow + howl) that would wake the dead and he can be quite persistent, so I feel your pain.

We do have a cat flap but the little shit howls outside.

Reasons for meowling include but are not limited to the following:-

He lost a fight with his best mate
He won a fight with his best mate
He caught some small creature
He didn't catch a small creature
The moon looked at him crooked
The wind blew his fur the wrong way

Insert whatever reason you like...

Supersimpkin · 13/03/2019 23:51

No. Can you lift him and cuddle him? The lifting is just annoying enough to put him off a repeat performance, the cuddling is nice for all.

YesQueen · 14/03/2019 07:56

He won't be lifted. Tried cuddling. He will sleep on me for 5 mins and then wander off and start howling again Confused

Supersimpkin · 14/03/2019 09:20

Oh honestly Olli. Earplugs or headphones it is.

YesQueen · 14/03/2019 09:29

I've started him on a supplement in case it helps

YesQueen · 14/03/2019 19:20

New man "do you want another cat?"
Me "can you be slightly more specific?" Hmm

TheLongRider · 14/03/2019 22:52

That sounds like a strange form of proposal.

There is an Irish saying round my parts of "Would you like to be buried with my people?" Apparently my Dad proposed to my slightly shocked English mother this way, she took him up on the offer!

YesQueen · 15/03/2019 10:22

@TheLongRider Grin
Man "it's a stray. It's cute" < sends photo >
See? Fang wants a friend

Me HmmHmmHmm

Supersimpkin · 15/03/2019 10:51

Do you think Olli does want a friend? Cozie always told me not to give Mr C company & she was dead right as always.

How on earth are you going to find time for a human relationship with two sets of petcare on the go?! You'll be run ragged. Suggest New Man may have to help Grin

Allergictoironing · 15/03/2019 11:38

Remember there's Fred and Ginge too, who are dependents. And presumably a horse somewhere in the picture...

YesQueen · 15/03/2019 11:46

Yes, the horse is more trouble the older she gets HmmGrin

YesQueen · 16/03/2019 08:33

Ollie is whinging about the weather. Too wet, too windy
New man last night "has he been fed? Did you brush him? Want me to feed him?"
Me HmmHmmHmm

Fluffycloudland77 · 16/03/2019 09:44

Have you much experience looking after Ollie?

YesQueen · 16/03/2019 14:12

Fluffy Grin Ollie is still all "MA new favourite hoooooman" at him

Fluffycloudland77 · 16/03/2019 14:35

Flipping cheek of cats. Talk about not knowing which side your breads buttered on.

YesQueen · 16/03/2019 15:24

I know. He keeps clambering on his knee and doing big eyed stares at him. New man "less demanding than the Maine coon was, and he's beautiful with his fang"

Fluffycloudland77 · 16/03/2019 15:52

🙄

Weezol · 16/03/2019 19:44

I know the feeling - my mum is coming to stay at the end of the month and I will cease to exist for the duration. Dad's dropping her off so there will be much tuna love occurring (they split a tin. He has a sandwich and Weezolcat gets the rest).

I am nothing compared to Grandmiaow and Grandpaw. Nothing.

Supersimpkin · 16/03/2019 22:31

Less demanding? Grin Bwa ha ha New Man, you ain't seen 0 yet.

I get you W, my parents shove past me screaming give us our lunch and where is that darling little cat...Mr C loves it, He does have the decency to favour Me Above All Others even when we are entertaining, however, most gratifying.

I can't get his steroid down for love nor money. The wheezing could wake the dead. Am going to get him an injection next week.
