Come one, come all to the Olli et al. appreciation thread.

Mr C has started wheezing again. Give me strength.

On the upside, might see Nurse Lee tomorrow. Not in my skimpy lace nightie, Spart (good plan tho Grin).

His old cat was a Maine coon. He knows his place Grin

Fluffycloudland77 · 11/03/2019 06:34

It says Bertie.

How is the air purifier going?.

Supersimpkin · 11/03/2019 09:08

Mr C's taken against it. He's keen on sole rights to the down duvet, however.

I'm only on this so early to sneak another look at darling Bertie slumbering so angelically.

And to spend 2 hours trying to get the steroid down with pate.

TheLongRider · 11/03/2019 09:14

Goodness, I know it's early in the relationship but now I have a vision of YesQueen doing a Princess Diana and claiming that there were "three people in the marriage"!

Fluffycloudland77 · 11/03/2019 19:51

I suppose it makes the air smell different to him though.

Supersimpkin · 11/03/2019 20:01

It's meant to - if I have a fag, he gets clean air.

Most of the time we wrap up and sit with the window open, he likes that. He was very clingy tonight, rather tender. M&S ran out of ham, however, so he'll be furious at bedtime. On me now, oblivious to the horror that lurks later.

Just about to try the steroid in lasagne. Is asbo still slumberous after his op.

Fluffycloudland77 · 11/03/2019 20:49

Well that’s brexit for you. This week ham, next week sensible cardigans.

Asbo is his normal self, you can draw your own conclusions as to wether that’s a good thing or not.

Supersimpkin · 11/03/2019 21:54

If he's continent I'm happy. IMO doesn't do to set the bar too high with one's nearest and dearest.

Grin if M&S falls the UK as I know it is over for me and Mr C. He can get a job as a ship's cat and I'll be his plus one. We shall sail the seven seas, stateless, but with a nightly buffet at our disposal.

Allergictoironing · 12/03/2019 18:19

Boycat has gone upstairs in a huff to sleep in the wardrobe, and won't come out even when I shake the Dreamies packet at him.

All my fault of course. When he wants cuddles he jumps up onto his seat on the sofa and I have to come over and sit to his left, using my right hand to stroke & palpate his tummy. However being a total idiot I have managed to snap the tendon at the top joint of my right index finger, and when he demanded politely requested a cuddle I was still waiting for my DSis to pick me up to get it splinted at the Minor Injuries Unit - which meant I couldn't use that hand as it fecking hurt too much if anything touched that finger.

Going to be fun driving to an interview tomorrow morning, then going via the agency to show them ID, then to the hospital for X-Rays (machine was down this afternoon) to see if the bone has chipped off as well. Thank goodness I'm a lefty!

Supersimpkin · 12/03/2019 18:33

Ouch. Good luck. As for Boycat, blink madly at him - you'll be telling him you weren't doing it deliberately.

Selfishly breaking your own hand, call the RSPCA hotline :)

Do you really need x-rays ie will they do anything if there is a chip - I seem to recall not.

Allergictoironing · 12/03/2019 18:45

Depends on the chip - they may need to screw it into place if it's a big bit Shock.

Not the best interview to be having with a hand injury that may need more treatment - the job is a mix of admin with some lab tech elements as well. Normally would be fine with that, but not sure they will want someone with a dexterity issue especially as it's only a 3 month contract.

At least I have a good selection of serious painkillers to hand. Then again, as it's a pharmaceutical manufacturing plant that in itself may be a bad thing.

Supersimpkin · 12/03/2019 18:59

Meh, see what happens when you get to interview, always good to see what's out there even if it's not the job for you.

YesQueen · 12/03/2019 19:43

Ollie is also in a huff. His favourite human is not here Hmm
I'm not even joking when I say the loving looks he gives are 1000x more when directed at the man

cozietoesie · 12/03/2019 19:51

Some cats are male oriented. PB is one of them. Blush

YesQueen · 12/03/2019 20:28

It's only this male apparently. All others are terrifying Confused

Fluffycloudland77 · 12/03/2019 20:35

Like I said before, you will have to marry him.

YesQueen · 12/03/2019 20:47

I was being drowned out by the
"Who's the best cat? Who's the cutest cat? Do you want a shoelace to play with? Has mama fed you? Did you miss me?"

Ollie < gazes adoringly and miaows every time he moves an inch away >

Me < turns up Corrie >

Nurse Lee's got a badly damaged hand!!!!! He said: 'It's always a cat.' I sent him to the vet to get some Fucidin for the scarlet, foot-long scratches.

YesQueen · 12/03/2019 21:24

Ribbon is out the window now he's discovered shoelaces Grin

Supersimpkin · 12/03/2019 21:47

For Pete's sake don't let him get frisky with a feather or silken cords or anything. A&E in moments Grin

cozietoesie · 12/03/2019 21:50

AND you have to explain how it happened. Grin

YesQueen · 12/03/2019 22:19

He took his shoes off and went to move them. Ollie saw the trailing lace. All ribbon thoughts abandoned Grin

TheLongRider · 13/03/2019 00:32

Ollie's showing off in front of his new admirer. "Look at me! I'm so versatile."

Supersimpkin · 13/03/2019 09:43

He is. I am so grateful Mr C wasn't behind Nurse Lee's poor swollen hand. Did we ever think we'd see the day of such pristine innocence C?

We've had ham in bed for breakfast.
