That is one handsome carpet.

YetAnotherSpartacus · 28/01/2019 19:28

What happened with the insurance for the carpet after all?

Ollivander84 · 28/01/2019 19:36

It was £350 excess so I ended up just paying for the carpet myself. Little worries about O, he hasn't eaten since the morning. Slept for about 4 hours on my bed and is now asleep on my knee

That's a huge excess... :(

Hope that Ollie is OK.

Papergirl1968 · 28/01/2019 21:10

I gave poor Matt some cooked beef for his breakfast, and was a little surprised when he walked away in disgust. He eventually ate it with a few Dreamies on top.
On closer inspection, I thought it smelt a bit odd and checked the packet and it was chilli flavoured cooked beef!
Poor baby.
I made up for it later by shopping in Waitrose. Definitely a step up from our usual Morrison's...
Hope Ollie is ok. Maybe his leg is hurting.

Ollivander84 · 28/01/2019 21:17

Poor Matt ShockGrin
He's purring away on the bed, less of a limp but just wants to sleep. Maybe the gallivanting was exhausting

Sympathies Matt!

I bet the Waitrose haul is going some way to soothe his ruffled fur and feelings.

Mr C was a little bit naughty about his pills so we got up at crack of dawn to have another go. Four months of more than 5 pills a day. Never again.

Papergirl1968 · 29/01/2019 09:29

Went some way towards soothing momma's angst anyway (both dds missing since the weekend, I alternate between being furious and sick with worry).

Papergirl1968 · 29/01/2019 09:30

How's Ollie today, Ollivander?

Ollivander84 · 29/01/2019 10:34

Woke me up at 6am bellowing at me. Has eaten, and demanded to go out (slight limp still so he's staying in)
Raging about the new carpet - see photo for his thoughts

Ohh, that's an angry glare he's giving it!
I just had lovely snuggles with Matt who was snoozing on my bed.
You know when they're all sleepy and warm and you can lift a paw and drop it without getting attacked? And bury your face into a furry sweet smelling tum tum?
There's nothing like cats for making you feel better when you're having a shit day (delinquent dds have returned full of attitude).

LanaorAna2 · 29/01/2019 15:25

Oh, the heavenly cloudsoft fudge of Belly, gifted to you as a special treat. Nothing like it.

Bladdy kidz eh.

Ollivander84 · 29/01/2019 22:10

Food refusal here tonight. Wanted my pizza crumbs instead and is happily gumming on a pizza crust Hmm

Weezol · 29/01/2019 23:14

What is Ollie's back story? Was he living rough at the back of a transport caff at some point?

Ollivander84 · 30/01/2019 07:22

@Weezol possibly Grin
He was fed by an elderly woman for 4 years. The few years before that are a mystery

Papergirl1968 · 30/01/2019 08:29

Breaks my heart to think of a loving soul like Ollie fending for himself.
I had Waitrose Dutch pancakes with chocolate spread for pudding (can highly recommend). The plate was already scraped pretty clean when I put it down but Matt was straight in there, licking it even more clean.
I know chocolate is meant to be toxic to cats but clearly Matt hasn't got the message. Hopefully a minute amount won't do any harm...

Ollivander84 · 30/01/2019 08:46

He demanded I open the window today, clambered up on the radiator to peep outside, saw the snow and retreated in horror

Mr C demanded I open the balcony door in my pants. Wanted a look. On heated throw now. Not me, him.

YetAnotherSpartacus · 30/01/2019 11:52

Was Nurse Lee below?

LanaorAna2 · 30/01/2019 17:49

If only Grin The only person who's ever seen me in oh-so alluring mega maxi pants is Mr C.

It's funny to think cats are naked, isn't it.

cozietoesie · 30/01/2019 18:13

I shall almost certainly have to relinquish PB. Luckily, there are plenty candidates - all gagging at the thought of acquiring him. Smile

Papergirl1968 · 30/01/2019 18:36

Oh no, Cozie, why?

cozietoesie · 30/01/2019 18:40

Bad health, I fear.

Justonedayatatime11 · 30/01/2019 18:41

Oh no Cozie! Is there no way you can keep him?

cozietoesie · 30/01/2019 18:46

I could - just about - but he's a young cat. It wouldn't be fair to him.
