Went out last night for 2 hours, before I went I fed the kittens and shut them in the living room.

I came home and looked for them, they're nowhere.

The living room door was still shut, but they were nowhere to be seen!

In my living room is a corner sofa. One chair, a TV and 2 Toy boxes and a fireplace. They aren't in any of them!!!

They are 4 orphaned/ dumped 6 week old kittens! How on earth have they vanished???? Where are they???

I've sat in there in the quiet and listened. No scratching. Now I've put food down and shut the door again hoping they'll eat then I'll know they're alive Sad but where on earth could they be!

Yes, I'd contact the new owners and tell them they're free to go tomorrow.

Hurr1cane · 27/09/2014 15:47

As long as I can get the other two. Black and white girl will have to stay as owner wants injections first.

Boy will have to stay as he's no home as yet

You can post him to Devon and I'll have him. Smile

Well even two less will be easier to manage and gives them time to bond with new owners. My kitten that came to me v v young absolutely adored me.

Hurr1cane · 27/09/2014 15:56

Wantacat you obviously need a road trip Wink

Thanks

Greyhound · 27/09/2014 16:04

Omg I'm so glad they have been found!!

I lost my foster kitties and was terrified they'd gone down the loo or something :(

Found them curled up fast asleep in a paper bag Smile

Another time, lost my own kitten and found him sleeping amongst the fruit in the fruit bowl GrinAngryAngry

I remember our 2 little kittens going missing, we found them after following little blue paw prints into the airing cupboard and inside a filed duvet case, they'd had a little splash in DS's paint tray before going to look for a bed. They'd obviously tried licking it off their paws because they had little blue beards and moustaches! Grin

oh the relief! ive just read 9 pages of panic! so glad you found them - now just to tempt the other 2 out eh.....

tuna or mackeral in oil? then duct tape over the gap they have managed to squeeze themselves into.

im guessing that because they are ferral they have a very good instinct for hiding!

PumpkinsMummy · 27/09/2014 16:41

Titsalina I wouldn't have known whether to laugh or cry if I found that! However as I don't have to clean up after it, that is beyond cute!!

Marlinspike · 27/09/2014 16:43

So glad you found them and solved the mystery (which was beginning to look a bit Sherlock Holmes in it's weirdness!)

We lost a cat in a wall once. Had to knock out a little cat flap sized chunk of wall to retrieve her Grin

I'm always telling my dog he's going to be put in a pie.

Greyhound · 27/09/2014 16:54

Could you suction them out with the long pipe of a vacuum cleaner?

Hurr1cane · 27/09/2014 16:55

Oh.... Wouldn't that hurt them? I don't think it would fit up the hole anyway

CurlyWurlyCake · 27/09/2014 16:56

So glad you found them!

YeGodsAndLittleFishes · 27/09/2014 16:59

Mine come running to a cardboard tube of treats being shaken. The dried chicken ones are their favourite.

Agree that being quiet is best. One of our kittens excelled at hiding in the sofa lining, under the cushions. He would wriggle through an unsewn section of linong, so no hole detectable (later he just ripped holes to get in) then he'd squeeze himself onto the frame around the edge, in the sealed base of the sofa, or hang upside down by his claws and freeze for hours at a time. Only found him out when he got bigger. The other kitten would get behind drawer units and hide behind a drawer. The drawers wozld close just short of her.

They like dark places that don't smell of humans.

YeGodsAndLittleFishes · 27/09/2014 17:04

Sorry, I didn't refresh the page from earlier. Glad you've found them!

wantacatplease · 27/09/2014 17:04

Play mewing noises now...they might think it's the other two and come running?
