Just setting this up before the old one fills up.

For anyone new, this is a cafe where you can come, eat (calorie free) drink and be merry.

There are kittenbees in the café, which are kittens the size of bees, they are friendly but do nibble the pastries.

Outside are their larger 'cousins' the Bumblecats, they are not as friendly.

Leo is a Lemur who now runs the outdoor dog wash.

Florence is a French pastry chef, Fernando is a cocktail waiter.

Outside is a water feature and a petting zoo.

My insomnia is bad but i try and lay in the dark listening to rain on youtube and try to avoid the phone
BUT i always think about whats for breakfast here and i have a picture in my head of the kitten bees and the cosy fire and hopefully drifting to sleep

Please tell me that the KittenBee’s look like this

I'm just going to settle here by the fire and snooze if that's ok.

yes they look very similar, but the ends of their their tails can turn into umbrellas to fly in the rain.

Sorry about yesterday, I just didn't make it in to the café.

As it seems to be a lot of us have trouble sleeping so I think hot chocolate from \Fernando, warm milk, 'cookies' from Florence and poached eggs on toast curtesy of Leo is quite a sleepy breakfast.

Phew - made it to half term! Hoping for a better night's sleep tonight...

Half term? Oh we need something for that.

Fairy bread as made in the Netherlands and Australia. The Aussie one is a slice of bread and butter with hundreds and thousands sprinkled on it and the Dutch version has chocolate sprinkles.

Obviously we need something a little more substantial so Leo is making egg in a basket.

Florence is baking jam tarts and Fernando is making fruity cocktails.

Ooh, jam tarts - haven't had those for years! I'll ask Florence if she could maybe make some with lemon curd too.

Yes to the lemon curd ones, I'd forgotten about them until now.

Well as I am having an early start I'm going to put on some Boston baked bens with salt pork.

Florence is making corn bread to dip in the beans. Fernando is making tomato based cocktails so bloody mary and variants.

Leo is taking the kittenbees for a fly around the petting zoo.

I will sit and watch the kittenbees for awhile this morning

I've asked Florence to make some mini honey cakes so you can feed them to the kittenbees.

I'll put out a few jars of things that go on toast, jam, marmalade, compote, lemon curd, Bovril and ... well that foul stuff is outside if anyone is that disgusting.

I can still taste my kippers so I think I will have the suff that should not be mentioned on toast.

I havent slept yet but just put a thick sherpa blanket on top of my duvet and im still cold
