Just setting this up before the old one fills up.

For anyone new, this is a cafe where you can come, eat (calorie free) drink and be merry.

There are kittenbees in the café, which are kittens the size of bees, they are friendly but do nibble the pastries.

Outside are their larger 'cousins' the Bumblecats, they are not as friendly.

Leo is a Lemur who now runs the outdoor dog wash.

Florence is a French pastry chef, Fernando is a cocktail waiter.

Outside is a water feature and a petting zoo.

Danish pastries and coffees all round. @StripyMug good luck at the hospital.

Settling in by the fire if that's ok. I am so tired but I'm so anxious I don't think I'll get much sleep tonight so I'll just grab my spot now! Is there any chance of a bowl of cheesy mash with some cheese & onion crisps on the side? And some jelly & ice cream for pudding?

@StripyMug I'm sure I can mash some potatoes, but this is usually breakfast so I'll save some for bubble and squeak served with bacon and egg.

Florence I'm sure can make fresh crisps and Fernando will get you a mocktail.

How was the hospital trip? I assume you are waiting for test results.

We pretty much have a diagnosis now, so it's a case of seeing what treatment is best. The doctor is pushing for her neuro appointment to be brought forward from next month so hopefully that will happen and treatment can begin. We're lucky where we are that our hospital is generally pretty good.

I'm just settling down here with a cosy blanket, a cuppa and some of Florence's delicious biscuits - the lemon and poppy seed one is particularly good!
The purring/humming of the kitten bees is making me feel very calm and relaxed - perfect!

I'm back with a variety of sausages, have a butty now or wait until later when I serve some German sausages with sauerkraut.

It's cold and wet again so lets head to Cuba for a tropical breakfast.

Fernando is making cafe con leche which, apparently you can dip bread into. But also Cuba Libre if anyone needs a drink with a kick.

Florence is making some sugary pastries.

To go with it all, scrambled eggs (Leo is already whisking eggs) guava, mango and papaya.

It's wild outside so a tropical breakfast sounds just the right thing!
Do the bumblecats come in when it's stormy?

Nope the Bumblecats are happy outside in all weathers.

Well Leo has been up early so we are having eggs for breakfast, and for bait.

So soft boiled with soldiers, hard boiled with ham and pickle, coddled, convent, frittata, quiche (Loraine and spicy sausage) fried and / or poached.

Florence is desperately trying to keep up making bread and bread rolls, Fernando seems to happy making eggnog.

Oh and watch out for the goats, Leo has brought some of them in to 'learn' how to cook.

I'm taking a coffee over to the fire and I'm feeding bread crumbs to the kittenbees.

Hope the kitten bees and the bumblecats and the goats are ok after the massive thunderstorms and hail last night! (& everyone else, obviously!)

Well this is unexpected, Leo has formed a production line.

Florence is making marshmallows, the kittenbees are then flying them over to Fernando who is making hot chocolate. They are dropping the marshmallows on the bar as when they dropped them in the drink they got splashed with hot chocolate that they then stopped to 'clean' the splashed one. Then Leo wanted to wash them properly.

I'm just going to take the goats back to the petting zoo and leave Leo to it.

Ah I thought we had a new type of kitten bee when I saw the brown one, it must of just been hot chocolate.

I haven't had soft boiled eggs for ages , please can I have 2 with a small army of soldiers.
And a bait with eggs and ham and piccalilli.

Well it is another cold and dark morning so Leo has helped me put out fairy lights and Chinese lanterns because it is Luna new year.

Florence is making crullers to dip in to congee, baozi steamed buns, Leo is making Jian bing and Fernando is serving Shaoxing Wine.

lets head to France for breakfast. Florence is making baguettes and croissants, Fernando is making coffee and Leo will not listen that the French do not eat eggs for breakfast so he is making boiled eggs.

I'll put out butter and apricot jam.
