Just setting this up before the old one fills up.

For anyone new, this is a cafe where you can come, eat (calorie free) drink and be merry.

There are kittenbees in the café, which are kittens the size of bees, they are friendly but do nibble the pastries.

Outside are their larger 'cousins' the Bumblecats, they are not as friendly.

Leo is a Lemur who now runs the outdoor dog wash.

Florence is a French pastry chef, Fernando is a cocktail waiter.

Outside is a water feature and a petting zoo.

Well IRL was an odd one yesterday, my neighbour passed away. She was 95, died peacefully in her own bed surrounded by family.

So I'm not doing a breakfast today, help yourselves to anything in the cafe.

@ScottBakula I tried but the kittenbees couldn't make it without nibbling all of the churros and starting again, and again.

Yes there is an app to recognise bird song, it's called Merlin. Be warned you will end up hanging out a window at 4.00am recording.

Just a simple breakfast this morning, toast with cheese or beans or both.

Florence is making apple tart and Fernando has some new flavoured gins.

Thanks @sashh . I’m off to catch an early train to meet my brother. We are sailing round Portland Bill today. I need a nice hot breakfast to settle my stomach.

It's sad when people died no matter what their age.
Over this past 2 weeks 4 people I know ( 2 family, 2 friends ) have all died.
Fortunately none of them were a violent end but bugger me it's put life in perspective!

I wonder if there is a training school for kitten bees ?

I love the idea of that app , I travel to work early some mornings it would be nice to know who is doing all the screeching singing .

I know it's past breakfast time but a couple of rounds of mature cheese on toast with a bit of red onion would be very nice.

Oh no, four people. That does put life in perspective.

A training school for kittenbees? Don't say it too loud or Leo will get ideas above his station.

It's been wet and windy for the last couple of days here so we need something to warm us up. Something I sometimes make is crispy bacon cooked with tomatoes and then some boiling water so you end up with a sort of soup, so breakfast soup. Florence is making some morning rolls to go with it and as it is cold Fernando has a selection of single malt whiskies.

Oh another quiet day. I'll take Leo and the kittenbees for a wander around the garden.

How about I make a couple of thick omelettes, they can be eaten hot or cold with Florence's soda bread.

I am not sure what kind of drink Fernando should make to go with it , what do you think ?

Thick omelettes and soda bread, I think need white wine spritzers.

I will join you in one of them , tho mine is going to have to be heavy on the soda I am at work .

Irl if I was to be under the influence of anything stronger than coffee at work I'd be flung through the automatic floors before they had a chance to open !

@ScottBakula when I had my first nedspedition I got home and my carer was here and said, "I don't suppose you have bought any doughnuts have you?" and I had.

So this morning I'm cooking sausage and bacon sandwiches, with choice of sauces.

Florence is baking soft morning rolls and crusty cobs, Fernando is making kahlua cocktails.

A sausage sandwich and a coffee would be great!

I’m on holiday and escaping a snoring DH (we don’t normally share a bed).

@marie3e , the kitten bees are adorable but will nibble anything sweet , try not to let them get into your Kahlua they will get all sticky !
Would a massage help you sleep ? Leo is keen to have a go at giving a human a massage he says the dogs love it . ( umm you do know Leo is a very cheeky lemur dont you ? )

I've sent Leo off to the petting zoo. He's planning to milk a goat or two, so we should have goats' milk later, or a rather battered Leo.

Anyway another cold wet day here but it is a bank holiday so I feel we should hire a charabanc and take sandwiches and flasks of tea to the seaside.

But I won't inflict that on anyone.

I'm feeling a central american vibe so huevos rancheros followed by churros. Florence is making tortillas and Fernando is of course serving tequila.

Well it seems to be another quiet day so Florence is attempting to teach Leo to make bread but he keeps getting dough in his fur.

Fernando is making fruity mocktails and I'll just put out a selection of fruit, ham and cheese. There are pastries but under a cloche so the kittenbees can't nibble.

Is there any Mexican left @sashh? I managed to sleep until 6 yesterday.

If not, a strawberry pastry please. Then I’ll be back to nibble on ham and cheese.
