Just setting this up before the old one fills up.

For anyone new, this is a cafe where you can come, eat (calorie free) drink and be merry.

There are kittenbees in the café, which are kittens the size of bees, they are friendly but do nibble the pastries.

Outside are their larger 'cousins' the Bumblecats, they are not as friendly.

Leo is a Lemur who now runs the outdoor dog wash.

Florence is a French pastry chef, Fernando is a cocktail waiter.

Outside is a water feature and a petting zoo.

Yes, she has had an assessment but because she's since moved into a care home served by a different area team, I need to get her seen again! The trouble is, she's so desperate to prove that there's nothing wrong with her that she tries to walk too fast and ends up tumbling over. She fell off a kerb the other day but luckily I caught her. It feels like I'm always waiting for the next fall...

Thanks all for keeping this place going. My dad was due on Saturday, but on Friday I got a call saying he was 'just setting off'.

So he arrived a day early. I love him to bits but it can be hard work. Nothing he does deliberately but he doesn't always hear me, or hear what I say.

And in common with @StripyMug he had a fall yesterday. I had too help him up (not easy with me being disabled) but we got him on to the bed. Then he decided to show me how he was turning over the duvet and that was how he fell. I, obviously, told him not to, I didn't want him to fall again.

So in honour of my dad is his breakfast.

A pot of tea
A glass of orange juice
A packet of cereal (I get one of those variety packs)
1 tub of pineapple or a dish of melon, nectarine and grapes (I'm trying to get him to eat more fruit and veg)
Toast and cherry jam

If you want anything else please ask F and F.

Oh and I found a new egg dish, 'eggs in purgatory' so Leo is experimenting with it.

It's a shame there aren't some kind of stabilisers that people can wear that isn't cumbersome or heavy.
( my dm should of used a walker but hated it )

Well all is back to normal at sashh towers. Having been ignored by my cat for 2 days and nights I now have her asleep on my arm.

I'm making bubble and squeak, Leo is being Leo so put in your egg order. Florence is making chocolate cake and Fernando has an amazing brandy alexander.

It always takes a while to recover from visitors no matter how much you love them doesn't it.

Can I have bubble and squeak for a pack up and poached eggs for breakfast please @sashh .

The cat absolutely adores my dad, within minutes of him arriving she is on his knee, we sit down to eat and he pretends she hasn't got on his knee under the table and then she disappears off to his bed to make sure she id ready for him to sleep.

I really do not know what is going on with my sleep pattern, i am truly messed up and the last few nights have hardly slept at all..
The black rings around my eyes are shocking
I visibly gasped yesterday when i looked in the mirror

Any tips on what to try?

I tried ASMR - Which i do like but that hasnt been working where as it normally does

Last night / This morning -
I tried thunderstorms and rain sounds on youtube
It helped abit, but would wake again after 10 minutes

So for a change from the cold and frost I thought we could head for Fiji. I'm making vakalavalava and topoi. Florence is making Baabakau and Fernando is making a cocoanut cocktail and, of course, Leo is cooking eggs.

@PoopingAllTheWay have you tried a hot bath and then a hot chocolate?

I looked both of those up @sashh and they look delicious! Could I have a bit of each and a cup of tea, please?

How are you finding things around here? Some of my customers have been here ages (possibly years) and they are a friendly bunch, but we like to see new faces too.

Why can I not sleep on a morning when I don't have to get up at 6.15???
I will definitely need one or two of Florence's delicious pastries and a cup of coffee later, but for now, I shall settle by the fire and hopefully snooze even if I can't actually sleep!

I'm sorry about the late start.

Florence has discovered some wild mushrooms so it will be a mushroomy breakfast today. Mushroom pastries from Florence, omelettes and soufflé from Leo, I'm baking some stuffed Portobello mushrooms and Fernando is making mocktails in case the mushrooms react with alcohol.
