Just setting this up before the old one fills up.

For anyone new, this is a cafe where you can come, eat (calorie free) drink and be merry.

There are kittenbees in the café, which are kittens the size of bees, they are friendly but do nibble the pastries.

Outside are their larger 'cousins' the Bumblecats, they are not as friendly.

Leo is a Lemur who now runs the outdoor dog wash.

Florence is a French pastry chef, Fernando is a cocktail waiter.

Outside is a water feature and a petting zoo.

I recon it was about 93 / 95 ish when I was hoping in fairly regularly.
I mixed with barrow boys and posh office workers

Morning! Or evening or whenever it is. Hope everyone is fine. Happy place cafe is looking really cosy. I think I can hear the kitten bees snoring so I'm just going to slip in and grab myself a hot chocolate. I'll be over in the comfy armchair by the fire if anyone wants me to make them one, or if anyone wants to try a hot blob.

Anyway I will get Fernando experimenting because I think a hot parkin drink would go down well if he could invent it.

I think we should have some savoury crispy pancakes, I'll stuff some with mushrooms and cream, some with cheese and maybe one with a bit of chilli.

Florence is making sponge cake using cream instead of eggs (recipe nicked from Ed Balls).

Leo is attempting to teach the kittenbees to help him wash things, I think he would have better luck with the bumblecats.

Well it looks like winter has set in well and truly so the ice rink is back. Leo says he wants to wash it, I'm not going to look.

I thought we would head to Poland today as they have cold winters but most of their breakfasts are eaten cold. So open sandwiches with ham and tomatoes with scrambled eggs with spring onion on the side.

Florence is making Polish apple cakes and of course Fernando has vodka.

Thanks for the benny and hot water link @sashh , I would imagine the soldiers really appreciated something warm and alcohol to drink if they'd been out in manky weather all day.

The benny thing is useful for pub quizzes.

I'm heading to Bulgaria for inspiration today so banitsa a mixture of whisked eggs and pieces of cheese put between filo pastry sheets and then baked in an oven.

Mekitsas are made from frying a dough in oil.

Florence is making rosehip jam tarts and Fernando is making a rose syrup drink.

Leo has 'washed' the rink and is now polishing it.

No the Bumblecats use themselves as curling stones, they run then curl up in to a ball and more often than not crash into each other.

So lets head for Canada. Leo is making eggs cooked in maple syrup, he tells me this is a Canadian speciality.

I'm cooking some peameal bacon, Florence is making Canadian pancakes and Fernando is mixing various alcoholic drinks with maple syrop.

I think I have just seen one of the bumble cats looking for a crash helmet!

Well there seems to be a bit of a hooley blowing outside so I think we should stay inside. So I'm taking inspiration from a breakfast club in Chicago.

Breakfast burritos, Loraine scramble (obviously cooked by Leo) Florence is making cinnamon French bread and Fernando is serving carrot, turmeric and ginger juice.

Ooh a breakfast burrito, that sounds just up my street.
I also love ginger so a Fernando special would be great

It's cold and wet here so as the burrito was popular I think a few Mexican delights would go well. Obviously huerves rancheros also tamales, chilaquiles verdes and mushroom molletes.

Fernando is serving tequilla and beer with lime.

Florence is making pan dulce and conchas.

Leo is making the eggs for the huerves rancheros.
