Just setting this up before the old one fills up.

For anyone new, this is a cafe where you can come, eat (calorie free) drink and be merry.

There are kittenbees in the café, which are kittens the size of bees, they are friendly but do nibble the pastries.

Outside are their larger 'cousins' the Bumblecats, they are not as friendly.

Leo is a Lemur who now runs the outdoor dog wash.

Florence is a French pastry chef, Fernando is a cocktail waiter.

Outside is a water feature and a petting zoo.

👋 Waves to @sashh dad and puts the comfiest chair infront of the fire for him.

There are some baked apples left so I've asked Florence to make them into a crumble with a bit of Fernandos spiced cider added.

There is cream or custard to go with it.

@MinnieMountain Florence has baked some fresh croissant and cinnamon swirls.

I think a lot of people are going to be doing last minute shopping today so food will be kept simple and portable, bacon/ sausage/ egg / cheese on toast .
Leo is hard boiling duck chicken peacock ( don't as where he got them from I didn't think we had peacocks !) eggs
Hard boiled eggs make excellent hand warmers for about ½ an hour so take a couple with you if your going out .

I'm glad I wasn't eating whatever he cooked.

So my dad got safely on his way so in his honour I'm putting on my 'Dad breakfast'.

Orange juice, tea, miniboxes of cereal, milk, toast and jam / marmalade.

To supplement this Florence is making madeleines and Fernando is making buck's fizz.

Leo is chasing the peacocks on the ice.

I dint think Leo has got a grasp of how to tell hens from cocks yet or at least that's what I am hoping !

I hope you and your dad had a good time together.

I like his idea of breakfast, can I have the mini coco pops please and Marmalade on toast .

@ScottBakula you can indeed. IRL that is the only one my dad doesn't eat so they go to the local community shop / food bank. I don't get the big packets as it can be 2 years between visits and they go off.

We did have a good time apart from the trip to buy the samosas. I don't have a car any more so my dad needs to drive, I was trying to navigate him on the ring road and he kept trying to get into the left lane, even though there are 3 / 4 lanes and we were turning right at the end of the road.

He is quite deaf so I have told him I'm going to make a recording that says, "stay in this lane, THIS LANE".

I go through phases of eating different cereal so the little boxes are handy ( but expensive) I don't like the puffed wheat type so I will swap them with your dads coco pops ( I think we have had this conversation before 🤔)

Ooh giving people directions round roundabouts is hard you have to be so quick to say it and them quick to react .
I don't drive but there is one I have to use frequently and if the driver doesn't know the route its a pain .
When we come off the roundabout there is immediately a Y shaped junction if we get in the wrong lane it's a mile+ of very slow moving traffic before we can turn round .
Everyone hates it !

I hope you got your samosa In the end and they were worth it .

I don't like FB much but every now and then it comes up with a gem .

Well it is cold but dry so lets make the most of the ice rink. I think we need food that can be eaten in one hand outside.

Leo claims to be able to BBQ eggs so I'm letting him try. Florence is making croissants with cheese and bacon and Fernando is, of course, mulling wine and cider.

I’d better bring painkillers too. I’m hopeless at ice skating.

Maybe I’ll just sit outside under a blanket and enjoy a croissant and a mulled wine.

My dad arrived again last night, he had a horrendous journey so decided to stop off at mine for the night.

I'll get Florence to make some turkey and ham pies and Fernando will be taking up your offer @ScottBakula and making snowballs.

It's been really bad near me tho it's lifting a bit now.
I made a load more pigs in blankets today so there is some left over if anyone wants some

Tonight has been the 1st night me and bd have met up for a while and really been able to let our hair down . And tho it wasn't planed we got home at about 3 am !

So we are getting comfortable on the squishy sofas in front of the fire.
I have put a Do Not Disturb sign on our chairs .Zzzzzzzzz

I guess most people are still recovering from Christmas and gearing up for new year.

IRL I have felt really run down recently. Yesterday I got a test from my GP, I need some B12 injections. I have now looked up the symptoms of B12 deficiency and I have most of them.
