Morning.

Just setting this up before the old one fills up.

For anyone new, this is a cafe where you can come, eat (calorie free) drink and be merry.

There are kittenbees in the café, which are kittens the size of bees, they are friendly but do nibble the pastries.

Outside are their larger 'cousins' the Bumblecats, they are not as friendly.

Leo is a Lemur who now runs the outdoor dog wash.

Florence is a French pastry chef, Fernando is a cocktail waiter.

Outside is a water feature and a petting zoo.

Hello, hard day at work today so I'm here for whatever Fernando is making! Hot chocolate with amaretto maybe?
Hope everyone is well x

MinnieMountain · 27/11/2024 06:13

Good idea @Igglepigglesgrubbyblanket .

sashh · 27/11/2024 06:30

Morning.

Hot chocolate with amaretto? Sounds fab.

I thought we could head tot he Falklands for breakfast, which apparently has mutton chops for a traditional breakfast but with the rest of the 'full English' on the side. So mutton chops it is.

Florence is making mince pies.

Leo is feeding scrambled eggs to the bumblecats.

Morning all , I will put on a big pan of hot chocolate help yourself and get fernando to add your tipple , I will have tia Maria.

I think porridge is in order too , tho I am sure Leo will cook you eggs whichever way you want.

MinnieMountain · 28/11/2024 05:47

Morning all

It’s my last day working for my shitty employer, so I’ve asked Florence to make fancy Viennese pastries. There’s also Weisswurst and pretzel if people want something savoury.

Fernando is on the champagne cocktails.

Leo has been sent to play with the goats for the day as eggs first thing make me queasy.

sashh · 28/11/2024 06:50

Morning.

@MinnieMountain oh I love arriving and breakfast is already here.

Are you going for a drink or two after work?

OP posts:
MinnieMountain · 28/11/2024 08:00

We’re going out tomorrow @sashh . Ironically the company is doing fine financially, so they’re paying.

sashh · 28/11/2024 08:51

@MinnieMountain Champagne all round it is then.

OP posts:
Igglepigglesgrubbyblanket · 28/11/2024 11:01

Champagne? Ooh go on then, just a drop 😁

ScottBakula · 28/11/2024 23:29

I hope your last day went OK @MinnieMountain and you are still out having a good time.
Onwards and upwards eh.

sashh · 29/11/2024 03:41

Morning.

I'm going to just keep pouring the champagne, anything else you need to talk to Leo, F and F.

OP posts:
MinnieMountain · 29/11/2024 07:45

Morning @sashh . I’ll join you 😁

I find bacon rolls a good idea if the champagne gets too much, so I’ll put some bacon on.

sashh · 30/11/2024 07:01

Morning.

Well I went to the dentist yesterday so I should be eating things that are kind to my teeth so I'm going to lay out a cheese board.

Florence is making crackers and Fernando is making brady alexanders.

Leo is attempting to teach the bumblecats to juggle with eggs, but it keeps ending up with him juggling bumble cats.

OP posts:
ScottBakula · 30/11/2024 10:26

@sashh I do like a good cheese board .
I'm not normally keen on tomato juice but Bloody Mary's go well with a cheese board.

Loe is going to get stung if he's not careful!

sashh · 01/12/2024 03:48

Morning

Bloody Mary? I'll get Fernando on to making them by the pitcher.

It's cold and wet here, so typical of England in December.

I think we need something warming so I think kedgeree will fit the bill.

Obviously Florence is making something sweet so apricot pastries.

OP posts:
MinnieMountain · 01/12/2024 08:16

Morning
Kedgeree please. It’s my favourite.

Igglepigglesgrubbyblanket · 01/12/2024 09:39

I'll just have a big pot of tea today I think

sashh · 02/12/2024 03:16

Morning.

So I feel in the mood for a bit of spice so I'm making huevos rancheros. Florence is making tortillas and Fernando is making tequila cocktails.

Leo is attempting soufflés, please keep an eye out for any kittenbees who might get too close to him.

OP posts:
ScottBakula · 02/12/2024 18:46

A cheese souffle would be nice for breakfast then HR for lunch .

I also fancy Cumberland sausage on toast for breakfast tomorrow if that's possible .

Igglepigglesgrubbyblanket · 02/12/2024 21:21

Hi @ScottBakula & @sashh ! Feels like the middle of the night all the time now it's December. I'm going to make a big bonfire in the garden, we can sit round it and drink. Cocktails, champagne or hot spicy chai made with condensed milk. The sky is magically clear and you can see the stars and the milky way. I've hung up some hammocks and there's a pile of thick wooden blankets and fake furs if anyone wants a lie down.

MinnieMountain · 03/12/2024 04:49

I’m going to settle into a hammock by @Igglepigglesgrubbyblanket and drink chai. Bliss.

I’ll save the champagne for dalight.

Could we have Cumberland sausages at requested by @ScottBakula ? I’ll start the plancha in a bit.

sashh · 03/12/2024 04:58

Morning.

Cumberland sausages are on the BBQ. Florence is making soft rolls so we can make butties and Fernando is making cocktails with a hint of sage to go with them.

Leo is attempting to BBQ eggs, he has realised they are no good out of their shells but I can't help but think the eggs in shells might explode.

OP posts:
ScottBakula · 03/12/2024 06:57

Good morning all , it's s bit nippy isn't it.
Thankyou for the blankets @Igglepigglesgrubbyblanket ( i hope its not one of the grubby ones 😄)
I see the bumble cats are snuggled up next to the fire.
Thankyou for the sausage buttie @sashh ,

sashh · 04/12/2024 06:46

Morning.

Well cold and wet seems to be the default for now so warming is the theme for today.

In Japan it is quite normal to have soup for breakfast so I think we can try that.

Spiced cauliflower sounds good, Florence is making crusty bread and croutons.

Fernando is making gluhwein.

Leo thinks fried eggs in the bottom of the soup bowl will be great, I have actually had this in Spain and it does work, sort of.

OP posts:
Igglepigglesgrubbyblanket · 04/12/2024 08:55

Ooh soup sounds nice. I had a really garlicky rice soup for breakfast in Cambodia once years ago. Something like that could ward off all the germs and warm us up.
