Just setting this up before the old one fills up.

For anyone new, this is a cafe where you can come, eat (calorie free) drink and be merry.

There are kittenbees in the café, which are kittens the size of bees, they are friendly but do nibble the pastries.

Outside are their larger 'cousins' the Bumblecats, they are not as friendly.

Leo is a Lemur who now runs the outdoor dog wash.

Florence is a French pastry chef, Fernando is a cocktail waiter.

Outside is a water feature and a petting zoo.

@ScottBakula Yes I know the not asking well. Frustrating isn't it?

If leo is looking for tins at least the goats and bummblecats are safe.

Aww Leo wouldn't throw things at the bumble cats , the goats in the other hand . . . . .

The gas engineer is here now but he can't figure out what's wrong with the meter he's been trying for half a hr 🙁

Hi all @ScottBakula , I hope they fixed your gas in the end, it's far too cold for that kind of fuckery with the heating. Either way let's have a couple of hot chocolates, I'll have some amaretto in mine if Fernando doesn't mind.
Hope everyone one is well and warm. I like the look of @MinnieMountain 's fire out there too so I might wrap up and pop out in a bit.

Well it looks like no new snow overnight but there is still a lot around. Hot chocolate all round sounds good. Florence can bring out some churros as we snuggle by the fire.

I'll make a spicy lentil soup to put in flasks for later.

Leo is watching the bumblecats play their winter game of being curling stones.

Its 3:45am, its currently 11’ in my house.
with 7 hours of heating it only got up to 16’ but now its been off for afew hours its freeeeezing

@PoopingAllTheWay there are quite a lot of design flaws in my house but one thing they got right is the heating and insulation. I tend to spend the winter under heated throws.

Leo is making eggs benedict this morning, I'll do bacon, sausage and hash browns to go with it, Florence is making soda bread and Fernando has making cherry cocktails.

OOOooooo I hadn't considered the airfryer.

Wwll I eventually got my heating sorted out .
The engineer tried for over a hr to fix my meter but couldn't.
So he had to fit a new one and very much against my will it has to be a smart meter .
But at least I have heating , hot water and I can cook.

Churros ? Yes please .
I haven't seen any chestnuts this year , I use to love roasting them but I don't have a open fire anymore.

Hot chocolate with marshmallows would be very nice too.

Bacon sausage and hash brown? Well I might as well do a breakfast buffet with everything from a full English. Leo will love it, he can have his own egg station and then do lots of washing up later.

Well we have rain today so i might leave the house IRL.

I think I'm in the mood for toasties, cheese, ham and cheese, egg, beans, any combination. Florence is making scotch pancakes and Fernando is making some sort of coffee liqueur.

Leo is insisting you need some egg on the side and is experimenting with scrambled egg so egg and chives, egg and cheese, egg and smoked salmon.

I'm making a large pot of pea and ham soup for anyone who wants to take some for pack up.

It is wet and windy here so we need something warming. So buttered kippers with Florence's soft rolls and Japanese salted salmon.

OK so I'm going to keep it simple and do 'things on toast' so beans, bacon, cheese, sardines, banana, avocado.

Can I have poached eggs on toast please.

My heating still isn't sorted.
I had a new meter fitted on Tuesday last week , they put £35 credit on it to keep me going until i could top up ( and pay back the £30 ) ( £5 was on the old meter )

When i have tried to top up on line all the links just take me back a page saying 'why dont you get a smart meter '
I am now in debt £20 and have no gas again . So in 6 days i have apparently used £55 of gas , I normally spend around £40-£50 per month !
I got back in touch with the idiots and apparently they have the wrong meter on my account so I have to send a photo of the meter to them .

ARGH !

please can you get Fernando to make me a strong hot toddy for this evening.

@ScottBakula Wow you are having a torrid time. One hot toddy on its way and I'll redo some kippers, I assume you want them with butter?

Once they are done I'll grab a seat by the fire and cook to order.
