Just setting this up before the old one fills up.

For anyone new, this is a cafe where you can come, eat (calorie free) drink and be merry.

There are kittenbees in the café, which are kittens the size of bees, they are friendly but do nibble the pastries.

Outside are their larger 'cousins' the Bumblecats, they are not as friendly.

Leo is a Lemur who now runs the outdoor dog wash.

Florence is a French pastry chef, Fernando is a cocktail waiter.

Outside is a water feature and a petting zoo.

Well yesterday's breakfast was a bit of a flop except for your crumpets @ScottBakula . At least I can put most of it back in the cupboard.

Leo is still wanting to cook so it's poached or fried eggs on toast cooked by Leo.

Florence is making macrons and Fernando is serving Japanese whiskey.

OK so after a few days of everything going wrong one problem has been solved.

My cat went missing a couple of days ago.

This morning I got a letter from a vetinary hospital, she was handed in as a stray.

So I'm a little calmer.

Ohh that must of been so worrying for you. I am glad someone handed her into the vets and you will / have got her back .

Hang on I have just reread your post , you got a letter ffrom the vets ?
Why on earth didn't they phone you , they could of put your mind at rest much sooner .

They tried phoning but I had not updated my number on the database, that is being rectified as I type.

Well the cat is currently in my bed asleep. She'd had some gabapentin at the vet so she was walking a bit like she was drunk and then she decided to be a Velcro cat.

She had some ham and some probiotic wet food from the vet.

So for breakfast I'm serving the cat's favourite (hoomin) food.

Slices of ham, yoghurt, cheesecake (she wasn't given it and I won't make that mistake again), goat's milk (courtesy of Leo's milking skills) chip shop fish, tinned tuna and beef from a beef stew.

Lets head to Algeria for chakchuka, cous cous and coffee.

Florence is making Makroudh,and Fernando is pouring out a selection of red wines.

Leo is milking the goats so there will be goats milk and a fresh cheese later.

Yes cinnamon rolls, Fernando is making alcoholic coffee and Leo is on the egg station.

I’ve never understood the appeal of alcoholic coffee.

Alcoholic hot chocolate on the other hand would go very well with the cinnamon rolls.

IRL I'm taking the cat to my usual vet today. She has been quiet (normally she is very vocal) and seems to have a cold so she's going for a general check up.

So I'll leave breakfast to be fairly simple, I'll just put out bread, ham, cheese and hard boiled eggs.

Florence is making flapjacks, Fernando is making alcoholic hot chocolate and Leo is trying eggs n baskets.

I hope your cat is ok @sashh, perhaps it's just delayed shock.
I have had to put my cat on gab a few times , he is very vocal normally but on drugs he shouts even more but it sounds nothing like his normal voice.

Breakfast, I will have a little bit of everything please and some piccalilli on the side.
But I think I will stick with coffee, something tells me hot chocolate and hard boiled eggs won't work together.

There are times I'd love to be able to understand them and talk to them but can you imagine the demands ? Yesh !

Cat update. She went to the usual vet, I was worried about her breathing and snoring, the vet had a listen and said there were crackles so she is now on antibiotics, pro biotics, gabapentin and some other bits. She also needs to put on weight. Not sure how I can help with that she eats well here and the neighbour who moved in a couple of weeks ago said she wandered in to her house, ate her cat's food, asked for more and then went to sleep for an hour on the neighbour's knee.

This morning she 'Whaaed' at me, she doesn't meow she goes 'whaaa' and has been quiet since her adventure.

OK back to breakfast, I think porridge as it is cold and wet outside, also congee and burgoo.

Florence is making Scottish pancakes, fernando is making hot drinks, with and without alcohol and some flavoured syrup.

Lea is ready with the pan to cook scrambled eggs.

It can be hard to get weight on a cat , mine has always been on the skinny / slim side and is weird as he won't eat anything other than cat food so no extra chicken / fish treats, he won't eat cat treats either so dreemies ect are also non starters.
The only thing I can do is keep both his meat ( sheba in jelly ) and biscuits ( gocat indoor cats ) constantly topped up .
Perhaps if you post on the litter tray they could help.

Madam is currently eating another packet of cat food, with various pills and powders.

It's still cold and wet so I think kedgeree would be fitting. Florence is making cinnamon buns, Fernando is making bucks fizz and Leo is scrambling more eggs. He doesn't care if no one eats them, he just likes making them.

Elderly cats can be funny. Mine’s getting increasingly cadgy and fussy.

It's cold and windy so I am going to light the coal fire and make a big pan of hot chocolate.
I really need to get some sleep I am working until 7pm today.

Velcro cat is currently attached to me. Her breathing is much better and she is walking without a wobble.

Own vet said to split her gabapentin dose in to two. I've bought in some nice cat food and tinned fish. I think I am cooking a chicken today.

Back to the café.

Hot chocolate lovely, I think I will get Florence on to making churros, I'll make some crumpets they seem to go well with a fire and Fernando is making some interesting Tia Maria cocktails.

Leo is still learning to cook eggs so he's experimenting with the air fryer.
