Morning.

Just setting this up before the old one fills up.

For anyone new, this is a cafe where you can come, eat (calorie free) drink and be merry.

There are kittenbees in the café, which are kittens the size of bees, they are friendly but do nibble the pastries.

Outside are their larger 'cousins' the Bumblecats, they are not as friendly.

Leo is a Lemur who now runs the outdoor dog wash.

Florence is a French pastry chef, Fernando is a cocktail waiter.

Outside is a water feature and a petting zoo.

Well it looks like spices are popular so lets go India / Bangladesh for breakfast.

Florence is making roti and paratha, I'm scrambling eggs with a few green chillies, there is a veg curry. Obviously tea with a choice of milk, lemon, cardamom or just black.

Fernando is making cocktails with Carew's rum and has obtained the appropriate permit.

Leo is in the empty swimming pool cleaning it before it becomes a water feature for winter.

sashh · 13/09/2024 06:47

Curry and paratha and I'll make up a tiffin tin for lunch and put a small pot of jam in.

sashh · 15/09/2024 06:42

Morning. Well the fry up seems to be popular so I'll keep it on for a second day.

Morning
A fry up sounds perfect right now. I’ve been awake since 3:30.

May I have sausages, black pudding, scrambled eggs, tomatoes, mushrooms and fried bread please? And a cafetière of coffee.

PILs are over later. Normally I love them, but I might just hide here for a bit.

sashh · 15/09/2024 07:34

Morning @MinnieMountain I haven't seen you for a while, I hope all is going well.

MinnieMountain · 15/09/2024 08:04

All fine thank you @sashh . I think I enjoy visiting the cafe more in the cooler months.

How are you getting on?

sashh · 15/09/2024 10:46

I'm OK, my carer is away so I'm indulging in more take aways than is good for me.

sashh · 16/09/2024 03:43

Morning all.

As it is getting colder I thought a trip to Sri Lanka would be nice.

So kiribath, aappa. indiappa and panipol.

Obviously tea with cardamom.

Florence is making some coconut macarons and Fernando is making tropical fruit cocktails.

OP posts:
PoopingAllTheWay · 16/09/2024 03:45

I’ll just take the flight to Sri Lanka please 😎😜

sashh · 16/09/2024 05:33

@PoopingAllTheWay you have to do that in your head, I just supply the imaginary calorie free food.

OP posts:
ScottBakula · 16/09/2024 05:57

Good morning all,
@sashh I have no idea what any of that is so can I try a little bit of everything please

sashh · 16/09/2024 06:52

@ScottBakula Off course, they are various fried things.

OP posts:
ScottBakula · 16/09/2024 23:27

Can we have omelettes for breakfast please.
I fancy one with ham and mushrooms.

sashh · 17/09/2024 06:33

Morning.

Omelettes it is then.

Cheese, ham, mushroom, soufflé, herbs, made with hen's or duck's eggs.

Florence is making iced buns and Fernando is making mojitos.

OP posts:
Igglepigglesgrubbyblanket · 17/09/2024 07:47

Ooh that omelette sounds good, can I have one and also an iced bun to take to work?

sashh · 17/09/2024 08:02

No problem @Igglepigglesgrubbyblanket

OP posts:
ScottBakula · 17/09/2024 20:18

Thankyou @sashh, duck egg omelette, very nice .

I love Belgium buns , I haven't had one for ages and mojitos always remind me of a holiday many years ago in Rhodes, me and DH spent the days looking for the best gyros and the evenings drinking amstel and mojitos. I don't drink lager or cocktails normally but that was a great holiday.

Igglepigglesgrubbyblanket · 17/09/2024 20:29

Thanks @sashh I love an iced bun :-)

sashh · 18/09/2024 01:08

Morning.

For a bit of a twist this morning I'm making a fry up but not a full English, I'm picking things from around the world.

So German bratwurst, Canadian maple cured bacon, duck eggs, Boston baked beans, tomato chutney and rosti on the side.

OP posts:
ScottBakula · 18/09/2024 08:35

I font think I have had Boston beans before but that all looks like a very good breakfast.
