The trailer has just been released and I can’t wait!

It’s probably my favourite programme atm so it’s a shame it’s ending but I’d rather that than it getting repetitive and dragged out.

Doesn't Greg still have all those incriminating copies of things that Tom told him to destroy? It was round the time of the cruise ship 'issues'. I think and Greg have a sort of stand off in terms of who holds all the cards because of this.

Tom also told him to delete a folder on his computer when he called Greg to tell him Logan had died. We never saw him actually do it though, don't think we are supposed to know what was in it either

LadyMargaretDevereux · 29/04/2023 07:20

I think Greg still has some info / evidence on them all. He's a bit more savvy than he makes out and I think when it comes down to it he could be ruthless, because he doesn't really care about any of them really.

Ooh it’s a goody this week! See you all after 10pm to discuss…

IClaudine · 01/05/2023 10:07

Ooh, can't wait to watch! See you all later.

XelaM · 01/05/2023 13:21

Another SUPERB episode! 🤩Loved all of it

Majorityofthree23 · 01/05/2023 14:36

Just wow

EvelynKatie · 01/05/2023 15:31

That was a great episode!

2023usernameNew · 01/05/2023 15:35

In order to wrap it up in 4 episodes I think they’re going to be jammed packed with storylines.

the tension is going to be unbearable.

MayIDestroyYou · 01/05/2023 16:08

Hmm … Grin I maybe didn’t love this episode as much as some - apart from one thing. Loving the reviews though.

This one - more recap than review - really, really gets it. SPOILERS. DO NOT READ IF YOU HAVEN’T WATCHED 4,6.

'That was a great episode!'

I think I say that every week 😊

I thought this week was great. Some DARK stuff going on. I go back and forth on who is the most brilliant actor in the show but I keep coming back to Jeremy Strong. He is just MAGNIFICENT in this role. I believe in his character every single moment, maddening and ridiculous as he is. Thought he was even more brilliant than usual this week

blahblahblahandblahsomemore · 01/05/2023 21:05

It's just brilliant.

Mydoghealsmyheart · 01/05/2023 21:32

I’ve got Covid so watched it at 2am when I couldn’t sleep due to coughing. But I found it really hard to follow, I’m going to read the review MayIDestroyYou has kindly mentioned and will see if that and a further rewatch will help me back on the Succession rollercoaster.

2023usernameNew · 01/05/2023 21:41

@Mydoghealsmyheart , that review is great.

i know many people (including myself) that watch the show with subtitules, it especially helps with Roman’s one liners which he usually sort of mutters under his breath or can go unnoticed when they’re all speaking over each other.

Yes, I use subtitles too. They often talk fast and it’s important to catch everything they’re saying as you can’t risk missing vital info! I’ve just read the review, it’s great and now I’m ready to rewatch episode 6! I just don’t want it all to end in 4 more episodes!

Eyesopenwideawake · 01/05/2023 22:02

I'm worried about Roman.

LoganRoy · 01/05/2023 22:42

I agree Jeremy Strong was just fantastic in that episode. I am also enjoying Karl not holding back now Logan has gone.

Living+ sounds like an aloe-based MLM though.

MrMarkham · 01/05/2023 22:58

Read an interesting comment about titles of last 3 season finales being lines from a poem called dream song 29 by John Berryman. So a line from there not yet used could give a clue to the ending!

I think this recap gets something wrong. Shiv said she had an appointment she couldn't move and went off to the conference room. Soon after Tom came in, her phone rang and she covered it up. I assumed that it was a call from her gynaecologist and so the "I have to book in time to cry" was a lie to cover that. Anyone else?

Also: she is now 21 weeks pregnant. We saw Tom's hand linger in on her waist and then they had sex. He must know, surely?

tribpot · 02/05/2023 06:26

I don't think Shiv is 21 weeks pregnant. Two days ago, her obstetrician said she wouldn't need to see her again until the 20 week scan. She's only just had the results of her anomaly scan, which can be done from about 14 weeks.

That said, I'm unclear if yesterday's episode only covered one day, given some scenes were in the dark and others daylight. There was definitely one night in it as the house on stage was built for 'tomorrow'. But I think we're still less than a week after Logan died.

I agree, the appointment was a phone call - her phone rang when Tom came in and she rejected it so he wouldn't see.

Heinzbakedbeans · 02/05/2023 07:35

Kendall said something along the lines of the last few days being hard during his speech so I think we're still within a week of Logan's death. There's been no funeral yet

I was still wearing my normal jeans until around 5 months preggo with my first (different story with the second).

Apart from mean Karl I found yesterday's episode really boring.

Mangomingo · 02/05/2023 07:59

I thought it was the alarm/calendar reminder tone that rang rather than a call?

MarshaBradyo · 02/05/2023 08:01

That wasn’t a great one for me

I only really liked the Karl bit, he was brilliant

The rest I found a bit painful, and the Shiv / Tom stuff isn’t that good

MayIDestroyYou · 02/05/2023 08:18

That was certainly the implication they threw us, @escapingthecity - so I imagine everyone watching thought it must be bad news about her pregnancy. We just don’t know!

MayIDestroyYou · 02/05/2023 08:33

Shiv and Tom actually talking was the best of this episode for me. They’re such different human beings; Tom completely clear eyed about his own emotions and motivations - and having to get through every single day carrying that self awareness as a burden, and Shiv completely astonished if she ever feels anything at all. She doesn’t seem to feel emotion should be part of her as a person.

If it was upsetting pregnancy news it would be incredibly sad that she ‘just’ carried on with her day and confided in no one. So I’d much rather what appeared to be a lie about scheduled grieving were actually the truth.

But it’s so, so fascinating that Tom’s betrayal and willingness to acknowledge it is the thing that has finally made her respect him.

PuppyMonkey · 02/05/2023 08:33

Did anybody else wonder for a second if Ken was going to walk off into the sea and end it all?…Shock
