Every night for weeks and weeks! Hooray! DH is moaning about it already... "cooking doesn't get tougher than this... useless eejits should try cooking ration packs under enemy fire... blah blah blah". Miserable so and so is in the army if you hadn't guessed

MaryAnnSingleton · 05/01/2009 19:39

they're bound to do the usual cooking in an army kitchen bit in the finals !!

That's the only one he watches without complaining and that's just in case there's anyone he knows on there...

spicemonster · 05/01/2009 20:26

Oh buggerama - forgot. Thanks for the heads up - I will watch on i-player

hannahlouhoo · 05/01/2009 20:30

oh no, my dp loves this! i can watch it but think it is tedious! sky plus will be full in a week with this crap!!

cornedbeefpasty · 06/01/2009 09:05

ahhhh pants! i missed it....

is it on every night? i work evenings, record every episode and never have time to catch up!

Molesworth · 06/01/2009 09:16

I wouldn't want to be that purple man who burnt his chop going in to work today ...

MaryAnnSingleton · 06/01/2009 09:45

yep, every evening ! poor chop man - I laughed at his bottle of chilli sauce

Lemontart · 06/01/2009 09:48

aaaaw I really felt sorry for chop man. He clearly blagged it in the first round, was mortified in the hotel and downright gave up in the pork chop episode.
I think he knew he was out after the hotel incident as the other two were so good and just gave up.

Was a little suprised she won - thought they were going to pick the other guy with his lovely choc pud. They really harped on about her tasteless starter

MaryAnnSingleton · 06/01/2009 09:50

yep, I thought the bloke was the better cook really. Chop man was just out of his depth really

OP posts:
Molesworth · 06/01/2009 12:53

I think they picked Elisa because her main showed more skill and complexity than the bloke's (admittedly delicious-looking) pudding.

DaDaDa · 06/01/2009 17:30

I've come back (whaddya mean you never...) especially for the Masterchef bitching.

I loved their 'new angle' - fannying around with the fork to make the point that it was 'difficult' to eat. Reminded me of the tiny sandwiches scene from Spinal Tap.

georgiemum · 06/01/2009 17:36

This is my 4 year olds favourite programme!

MaryAnnSingleton · 06/01/2009 18:03

arf DaDaDa !! I see that Gregg and John don't sit around in the restaurants after that challenge in order to get the chef's opinion this time !

OP posts:
foxinsocks · 06/01/2009 19:52

no no no they picked her because she's a (gasp) woman

that can be the only explanation

I mean, why send them to the restaurant if they don't even take those results into account? The bloke was the clear winner in that so should have gone through on balance really.

I lol at pork chop man, especially in the restaurant when asked to plate up and he said 'err hang on, I'm just going to cook some more' lolol. Thought the head chef was going to punch him!

mummywhodrinks · 06/01/2009 20:53

How bloody dare they ask her (Denise iirc) how she wil fit Masterchef aroung having four kids??

Don't see them asking the men that kinda thing

Hassled · 06/01/2009 20:57

Go Denise - she deserves it just for being asked how she'd cope with her kids.

foxinsocks · 06/01/2009 20:59

lol I didn't even notice that...was too busy drooling over her pudding!

WELL DONE DENISE

carrotsandpeasifyouplease · 07/01/2009 12:38

glad she got through, thought they were going to pick the young lad, cause they normally go for "potential spark" types.

Pork chop man was tragic.

Can't believe Donna (?) only made such a simple dish for the starter even my DH was shouting "even i know that wouldnt cook them".

Its about the only thing even remotely filling teh strictly / little dorrit / devils whore gap at the moment.

MadameCastafiore · 07/01/2009 12:40

Last nights was good but felt sorry for the young boy - he would have got through on another night.

COuldn;t watch the first nights - Greg had something stuck to his face and what with John's lizard tongue flicking in and out when he eats it was just too much for me!

Fimbo · 07/01/2009 12:43

MC-we were put off by Greg's "zit" too!
