DoctorDonna came from the Ood episode. They were saying "Doctor, Donna, friend" to the Ood's to try to stop the Ood killing them. They repeated it a few times and then the Ood started saying it as one word.

loved!!

german daleks 'schnell!'
doctordonna
donnadoctor
naaaaaaaaaaaaaked DT (thank you - i appreciate the pre watershed and the fact that it seems to be a childrens programme didn't allow for a full length naked DT, but i do have a healthy imagination.)
catherine tate has completely won me over and i thought she was brilliant.

hated - snogging. ewwww. rose doesn't even deserve a xeroxed doctor. at least this might be the end of her.

LIZS · 06/07/2008 12:45

loved "Exterminiert" !

NoBiggyFinish · 06/07/2008 14:53

9.4m viewers last night. That's very respectable isn't it. With a peak of 9.8m at the end.

UnquietDad · 06/07/2008 16:08

That's more than respectable, that's the bloody NUMBER ONE PROGRAMME on TV!!

OK, just been watching again on iPlayer & had a thought...

If the Daleks needed the 27 planets, including Earth, in a particular place & configuration to power the reality bomb to destroy the stars...

...how come the stars were going out in Donna's alternate world, when the Earth hadn't been moved?

KatyMac · 06/07/2008 17:06

Because the planets were moved in time as well as space?

RustyBear · 06/07/2008 17:13

But whatever time they were in, they still needed to be in those relative positions - when the Earth was moved, you could see the other planets from the Earth & in Donna's alternate world, you couldn't.

KatyMac · 06/07/2008 17:18

Maybe the darkness is still coming then & this wasn't that threat

MegBusset · 06/07/2008 17:40

Also how come the Moon was still there when they towed the Earth back? Surely without the Earth's gravitational pull it would have spun off into space?

motherinferior · 06/07/2008 18:55

Surely they have to go back and re-resolve the Donna ending? (DP has a complicated theory about how her memory could be uploaded into the library...) Utterly tragic, for her, resuming a life that she'd said was so damn unfulfilled and empty, without even the memories.

I thought the Doc should have taken Bernard Cribbens with him.

motherinferior · 06/07/2008 18:58

I very much loved Jack's remark about his filthy thoughts re two doctors and Donna. Also his leering while pulling a lever.

davidtennantsmistress · 06/07/2008 19:07

LMAO @ snape - ah yes DT naked - forgot that bit! yes v nice RTD v nice! lol.

Ses15 · 06/07/2008 19:42

Can't believe it's all over

Loved the last 3 episodes and am quite happy with the way things ended up. I do agree though that the blue suited doctor just wasn't the same and if I was Rose, I'd always secretly yearn for the other "proper" doctor....

Can't wait for Torchwood - definitely looks like Martha and Mickey are joining the team

florenceuk · 06/07/2008 19:56

so who was manipulating the timeline to bring together Donna and the Doctor? Was it Dalek Caan?

Ses15 · 06/07/2008 19:58

I think so but don't know how!

  • a whole web site to keep us going...
SaintGeorge · 06/07/2008 20:22

The darkness was the reality bomb, killing off all the stars and planets. The 27 planets that moved were the engine to power the reality bomb.

RustyBear · 06/07/2008 20:25

NOTHW - yes, that sounds feasible - think you're right.

CaptainKayHarkness · 06/07/2008 20:29

The pendant thingy that Sarah-Jane had was from The Sarah-Jane Adventures (of which there be a new series in the making), I think. There's links and clues been scattered through the whole Whoniverse (I really don't like that word.)

I am writing cathartic fic (and yeah, probably smut, because that kiss on Confidential was rather good) if anyone is up for it. Which is nice, because it means I'm actually getting on with the other stuff I'm supposed to be writing at the same time.
