Are we really on a new thread already! Only seems like 5 minutes since the last one began.

Sarah is still in prison/on remand, (for killing Theo,) and is toughening up in there now, hanging onto snooker balls in a sock to hit someone with! One of the prisoners in there has been threatening her and her family if Sarah doesn't get Kit to help her son who is in trouble. (But Sarah has dumped Kit!)

Ma Driscoll has been getting jiggy with Brian! Ollie is in trouble for having a go at Gary's son who appeared to be assaulting Christina when she was drunk on the floor.

Tim reconnected with a cousin he hadn't seen for several decades, (Richie) who went on to kill his wife, and now Tim and Sally are looking after his daughter, and Lou and Mick's girls are back with Tim and Sally too!

We haven't seen much of Debbie lately - or Summer, which is a shame, but plenty of mardy Todd who hates the world right now.

Bernie's aunt has just turned up in the form of glamourous actress Frances Barber, and has only a few weeks to live. So she is hoping Todd can help her with a Dolly Parton themed funeral. R.I.P lovely Dolly! ❤

Glenda's account suspended I think.

Surely Kit was at the hospital as. Ernie was having her biopsy and wanted him there.

Ernie suits Bernie so much better. She'll be Ernie forever now to me.

Am I alone in finding the drip drip of revealing toxic Ross' personality and attitudes very unpleasant? His treatment of lovely little Dorin was heartbreaking last week.
I have a bad feeling about him!

I am pretty sure he is meant to be vile but I cannot handle another vile, creepy bloke.

Mal was bad enough, they should give it a rest.

Thought it was unprofessional of the consultant to approach Kit and ask if he’d come to see him, which could have aroused curiosity.

The new girl at Sal's is now really annoying and completely daft how Joanie has just been shoved out of the picture.

I really dislike her (Lucy,) and think she was proper sneaky pretending to be ill to spoil Sally's night out. Tim was there, (at home) and there was no reason whatsoever for Sally to have not gone to the pub quiz night. Lucy is 15, 16, not 3. I know she's been through a rough time so I'm trying not to judge her harshly, but she's just a dreadful character and not a very good actress.

And yes, it is odd how the other 2 girls have just been pushed out and always seem to be away now...

That was weird

As per usual, nobody in Corrie can go to hospital without an entire support team of their family and there has to be some sort of altercation when they are there.

Although it was actually quite well done

Kit's plan to let Bernie go through the process that included advice and counselling did make some sort of sense but was knocked off the rails as he could not stick all her hippy woo woo nonsense. I could see where he was coming from as it drives me nuts and I don't even have cancer.

Although I am not looking forward to the rest of this plot with everyone else being tested. I suspect Gemma will be clear so they don't have to go there with the quads.

There are just too many illness plots on corrie right now. Debbie's dementia, Betsy's Stroke, Sam's schizophrenia ... I have probably forgotten some

I can't see the Bernie Doll being a success, even if it can have a bun or a ponytail

Bernie doll. Complete with extendable pony tail, a little cup with tea leaves in it in one hand, and a crystal in the other hand! 😆

It is daft bringing a young teenager in with literally nothing but trauma, especially as they have shoved Joanie out who was working quite well with Sally.

It is also a hard call for a young actress, although I suspect part of the reason she has been introduced is that she is older than the girl who plays Joanie so they can use her more

I just had a google. It was called a greasy doll. Had a button on its midriff. I always found her a bit creepy.

I think Tressy has auto-corrected to Greasy. Grin

I know right, why must new men on the street almost always be so vile and nasty. Throwing Dorin's doll away, with his horrible toxic masculinity.

I noticed that too, and thought it was deeply odd and unprofessional. My friend has a certain condition/illness, and when she was at Church (about 2 years ago now) the head GP from the surgery saw her in the Church after the service.

He asked her how her condition was, and if the latest meds she'd been on were working out OK. With at least 5 or 6 people in earshot nearby. She said she felt so uncomfortable and embarrassed that she didn't go to Church for a month. Very unprofessional I think, even though he meant well.

That is what I find odd, most people would be happy to go with their spouse, keep fuss to minimum but on Corrie family members have to be rounded up like a posse then make a nuisance of themselves when they get there

It was in Roy’s and she said something like “I can’t go, you go” and Kit mentioned something about work and Bernie said “if you want to say no, just say no son”

I don’t remember the words lol

I know right. I had to go to a consultant for something last year, and have a scan, and I didn't even tell my DH. (I know many people would, but I prefer to deal with stuff alone,) and I didn't want to tell him anything until I knew the result. which fortunately was a solid negative.

I didn't want him and my DC all worrying until there was actually something to worry about. I cope better when I just do it alone, at least for a little while, as I am good at compartmentalising things. And I HATE being fussed over, and although he would mean well, I didn't want DH going 'there, there you'll be OK,' and 'it'll be all right, you'll be FINE,' and 'you don't need to worry,' and 'you're not dwelling on this too much are you?'

DH is a good man and I love him, but the fussing over me would have been too much, whilst I was trying to process it myself.... It would have done my head in - people fussing and 'it'll be okay-ing' even if they meant well.

I would very likely have needed support if the scan had been positive, but yeah, I didn't want my whole family around me at the hospital, I preferred to just sit waiting quietly with my book, and going in alone.

Same with when I was having my DC. I only wanted DH there, yet on TV/in soap operas, the whole extended family, and half the street is there on the Maternity Wing, when the woman is about to have the baby!

That would make sense I think, as the actress who plays Joanie is 15, (Savannah Pennington) and the actress who plays Lucy is 18. (Anya Dewin.) So Anya - as an adult is free to work as many hours as she likes, whereas, with Savannah, she is restricted because of her age, and school.

Still, it is annoying (and daft yes,) that they just landed this girl (Lucy) on us with such deep trauma. Why can we not have a child/teenager who just has a fairly normal life? I think this is why I like Susie, she may be a bit annoying with her singing and dancing, but she is just a normal little girl... I hope they don't ruin her too. Confused

At least they did not traipse in with her.

I know some people do this but when they do it on Corrie the person there for support always talks over the one who is actually ill. Billy was the worst. It annoys me as it just seems a terrible way to support someone
