Counting down to this evening when DS is home from work and we can all watch it together. I really hope it lives up to the previous three series.

Well … I’d forgotten just how saccharine it can be. Hope there’ll be enough episodes to give me time to acclimatise.

And I guess it’ll pick up some sharpness in Ep2.

I can't. Season 1 was great Season 2 passable. Couldn't get through season 3. I'm going to avoid it and pretend that season 1 WAS Ted Lasso.

I had to stop watching it. The episode of the funeral did it for me. Just ridiculous.

Just watched the new episode. It’s a no from me.

Same. I really wasn’t going to watch this series as I really didn’t want another after how downhill it went. Also seemed weird to say it’s ending only to bring it back again so soon.

I did watch it today, we’re both off work this week and don’t watch a lot of things together, we have very different tv habits. I’ll give it two more episodes to get going but I can’t see me sticking with the whole lot if it doesn’t get better quickly.

Very disappointing and odd first episode.
Hope it picks up.
Just felt very contrived and a bit silly in places.

I don't think apple is worth 9.99 a month but the 6.99 now ties you into 12.
Disney is better value allowing you to cancel it pause any time.
I could and should wait therefore but needed the pick me up, as they well know, so will be stuck with it for the next quarter.
Old fashioned among us - who can wait for a kinder egg - probably appreciate week by week. Sadly I am a binger now, so the flow/continuity is missing for me. I'd have managed with two today but the one on its own is pants.
Episode itself, meh, did a job with new set up, clunky/clumsy in places, didn't really make me laugh at all but hopefully will pick up next week.

Just watched the first episode and it was mostly dire, cringeworthy pap. Infantile ‘humour’ eg Rebecca getting bbq sauce on her too every time she ate. It’s such a shame. I really hope it picks up.

I’m certain it will once they’re back in London. And once the new cast members become involved.

I'm so glad others agree - I thought I was missing something. I came to the show late so binged all 3 series in a few weeks last year and was so looking forward to this one. They should have premiered with two - the first one was purely set up so hopefully it'll get going in episode 2.

Well looks like I’m in the minority! I enjoyed it - a gentle start but felt like putting old slippers on.

Agree two at first would have been better because I wonder if some people won't have been drawn in enough to stick with it.

I know the third series wasn't as widely loved so I think they needed to hit the ground running with S4 & not sure they did with that first episode.

I was afraid that it might be a mistake to make a fourth season. And judging by last night's episode, I was right to be worried.

I loved 1-3. Episode 1 of S4 was complete drivel.

The money-grabbers at Apple want as many people subscribing for as long as possible as they can - eight episodes over eight weeks means two months of revenue.

I kind of hoped that Keely might have actually grown up a bit in the intervening couple of years, but no, the writers have basically turned her into a caricature.

I quite enjoyed it but the over the top American aspect was too much. I found the way the supposed local people spoke extremely annoying - like a cross between rap lyrics and Edward Lear. The bit in the baseball museum was gratuitous preaching too. I had subtitles and didn't get 90% of the jokes and references clearly aimed at an American audience. Hopefully it will settle back in to familiarity once they are back in Richmond.
It was really good to see some of the old characters back again though and very glad Rebecca is still with her pilot.

Have just watched the first episode this evening. Absolutely loved it 🥰

Episode 2's out! Watched it on my commute, definitely felt a step up from last week - good to see some of the new players, and the team dynamic. Gutted that I'm away for a couple of weeks now so will miss the next few weeks until I have time to catch up!

It’s still pure sugar, but Tanya Reynolds is a delight.

And I seem to be still in love with Coach Beard … 🤔
