They kept it very quiet that Jamie was in this season.

I saw a (very) tiny glimmer of the old Ted Lasso last night, but not much. Maybe it was the Christmas feel.

Keeley is just wet, if she wanted Roy, old Keeley would have gone and told him. Jamie hugging Rebecca and her chap at the end, was just a bit weird. Jamie would never have done that.
Tracey Ulman character is a joke, except completely not funny.

It just all a bit try hard, but missing the mark.

I agree @RunningJo . I quite enjoyed that episode. I also think having Jamie back helped a little and the festive feel was nice.

I think it was strange that they just skipped over Christmas?

I think I’m going to check out at this point and maybe watch the finale to see how it all wraps up. Feels like the core cast are phoning it in. The team are interchangeable. The make up is terrible.

Tracey Ullman is beyond irritating! What is the point of her character?
That party in the latest episode was just silly & pointless.
As pp said, the women in the team are still just unknown and totally one dimensional even after several episodes.

Yes, the writing is awful past belief. What on earth was the point of those rather turgid long scenes between Ted and his ex if not to develop some element of plot — I thought for a while they must be getting back together, otherwise what on earth was the point was having her go on about Mark Twain all the time? And why waste Jamie Tartt? Have him decide he’s still in love with Kelsey and make Roy decide the doctor isn’t all that or something — the viewer doesn’t care about the doctor because we’ve never met her. And if Rebecca’s pilot isn’t really moving to London for her, develop that! And likewise if Alice is still attracted to the striker, show us!

Yes, I hate the ex wife & son following him over plotline, it just seems daft & pointless like a lot of the new series.
It works better with Ted being alone. The son character is particularly pointless.

Even May and the pub is getting on my nerves this series! There are just no redeeming features at all, it's just crap.

I guess the ex-wife/son thing is because the reason Ted went back was to be closer to his son. I did wonder how they were going to justify him making the decision to leave again so I guess it makes sense (if unrealistic). Though with pilot/pilots ex essentially doing the same thing it seems a bit forced - like they want to portray them both as great dads and but have any faults...

This new year episode really did feel like a hallmark movie. Shallow and predictable.

For me Jamie Tartt was actually the highlight. Sad for Tracy Ulman - she's great but what an embarrassing OTT role. Rebecca has one storyline now and that's the pilot. Keely has one storyline and that's Roy.

Yeah I said this to DH. In no way are two exes moving countries because one of them has a new job, in such a small sample of divorced couples.

I seem to be the outlier here but I’m loving it. So glad it’s back & loved Jamie Tartt! I’m invested in them all!

I was watching my adult daughter's match today, and it struck me that season 4 has done women's football a huge disservice with this complete twaddle.

As if it hasn't already been a battle to get people to respect women's football...

Definitely. It's not helping women's football at all! I feel like the programme itself doesn't take women's football seriously let alone encourage others to.

This is one of my huge problems with season 4.

I am a supporter of Arsenal Women and follow the woman's team-it is astonishing how unprofessional and silly they make these women.
Imagine going out in that cobbled together kit for the first match-embarrassing!!

Arsenal women sell out the Emirates and out sell a number of the Mens PL teams. There was a fantastic documentary on them a few years ago and you can see the dedication and skill of the women.

This is depicted more like 6th form games than a professional team.

They could have popped over to the club store for some kits.

The non gloves goalie also annoys me.
