I’m pretty sure we didn’t see the grandmother in any of Gray’s stories.

I don’t recall Sheila or any of Gray’s family around at all.
At least they are hi lighting that unprotected sex can have other consequences apart from just unwanted pregnancies. I know that Zac was treated for his HiV diagnoses, but that was from shared needles and so on from the gym and that was also a while ago. I can’t remember a STD storyline recently.
It’s a shame it’s involving the twins and Oscar who seems to be getting bored by his character when he started off so well and seems liked.

I have a vague memory of someone being really critical of Gray, and I think we were supposed to think that was the reason behind Gray’s neurotic behaviour. Like when he said the knives have to face upwards in the dishwasher.

it us entirely possible that I’ve confused this with something else though.

I admit that when Gray killed Chantelle I didn’t watch it for about a week as I knew it was coming up and he had already killed Tina too, so my recollection of all his reign of terror is a bit hazy. It was unusual for me to boycott it, but I liked the Chantelle character and I knew that he would be unbearable trying to act innocent and upset.
Anyway, I’m sure that Sheila will be trouble as newcomers are rarely nice and she’ll probably have a go at Chelsea and poke her nose in.

Oh so it isn't just my memory then, Sheila has not appeared before. And seems a bit pointless now too!

I was thinking the other day they get a lot of unexpected pregnancies yet no STDs in Walford. (Whitney had chlamydia but that was years ago, it spread around the square to Abi and Ben.)

@the80sweregreatI agree it seems a good idea they do a story about unprotected sex as Josh and Oscar do seem to be what would be called promiscuous in the olden days when I was that age. Somehow it seems to have been less focused on because they are gay, even Josh's adoptive mum seemed to not bat an eyelid about him suddenly disappearing with a random bloke he met one evening (when he first showed up).

Weird reaction from Josh when told about the chlamydia. Some sort of high pitched moaning followed by laughing. He is now a worse actor than his sister which is hard. Poor Oscar. His acting ability is being brought down by being opposite these two.
Thank goodness that Denise’s illness is now public.

I like that word promiscuous! Josh and Oscar definitely are.
They could do with a clinic on the square handing out some contraception for everyone.

God that episode was painful.

I laughed at Louie asking what is chlamydia, but that is where the laughs ended. Why did Oscar tell the twins before he even knew if he had it himself. Did none of them think about practising safe sex? If not they can't really blame him.

Then they managed to drag Denise's announcement out till the last moment, so she could announce it in the Vic. At least that is done now.

Couldn't care less about Vinny.

And Jean is at the Wendys which explains why we haven't seen her. So that huge house is completely empty?

I thought that Lily and Charli lived with Jean , but she was at the pub once so who knows where they are.
How Jean pays the rent on that house I don’t know.
She isn’t working. Mo will need to shift the dodgy gear very quickly to pay the bills.
I noticed that Honey was dancing and looked well. She wasn’t the other day.
I did wonder what an anomaly scan was , it’s just a 20 week baby scan and I didn’t know it was called that.

I was surprised Vinny didn't pick up on the dates re the scan. Or maybe not as he is a bit dim.

Agree re Vinny! He isn’t at all suspicious.
The 20 week one is v important especially as Penny is a high risk pregnancy.
He may tell his mum who will definitely be suspicious and make her go along for one ( or tell Vinny to put pressure on her to have one maybe?)
They can tell so much at 20 weeks and she’s mad to let it go.

Amy and Denzil ?.. hmm , they make an attractive couple!

There is only about a two week difference between when she slept with Harry and Vinny, I'm not convinced it would be notable. She's barmy though, when it arrives it's likely to be clear whether it's Harry's or Vinny's. And of course as she's high risk and she lives in Walford there is bound to be a problem!

Oh, i thought it was longer than that. Still, you can fudge dates but not skin colour...

Some very OTT public announcements today! Oscar practically shouting at the twins in the cafe that they may all have chlamydia, then Denise running away from the privacy of the bogs to scream at the whole pub that she has cancer.

A good clear out of the kiddy cupboard today, too. Raymond, Pearl & Micah, Denzel and Jack’s kids all in one episode. Almost unheard of!

Not keen on Bea & Mo living together. Mo wouldn’t suffer Bea’s nonsense for a moment. I was hoping Bea might tag along when the twins finally decide to go on a round the world trip forever (here’s hoping).

On a positive note - I love Kim 😆

What or who are the Wendy’s? I thought she said the windy’s at first, meaning the West Indies. But then I thought Jean can’t possibly be there because it’s very expensive. But it’s EE so who knows. Tickets to Australia are bought willy nilly by people who don’t have much money.

The Wendys are Jean's two friends called Wendy 😆
She's been to visit them a few times.

@murasaki we worked out the dates when it was first mentioned, it was a very short gap.

@BitLippie As a PP said Bea is now counting down to her 'dramatic' exit storyline so we won't have to suffer her much longer.

I havent watched today's but please tell me there's a bit where Kim is talking about her Scottish ancestry?? 😄

I did wonder if that song was shoehorned in as a tribute to Scotland's win!

Did the Wendy’s live in a caravan ? Or getting mixed up with someone else or something else ?

I did like the little interlude with Jack n Jack and Phil. They don’t often have scenes together do they.

Floyd as well as ‘ Waterloo sunset ‘ in the background too!

Yep, how will Penny explain away the baby’s heritage ? Suki will pick up on that one straight off, she doesn’t like her much and missing the 20 week scan too.
She’s better of fessing up really and try to get a scan booked in if she can. Being high risk they could do it I’m sure.
