I have really felt for Ian recently over the accident - I mean, he's not usually a sympathetic character at all, but this is all an accident and Chelsea was quite right that Jordan ran off because of her and also no one was watching him, It's just a combination of events.

Jasmine also had my sympathy for the whole twin/boyfriend shenanigans. She thought her life was finally coming together and they do this to her. I'm glad Oscar finished it off with both, it was the right thing to do.

I also felt very sorry for Josh's adoptive mum waiting to pick him up from the station and have a nice evening with him, only to be binned off for the family he's only just met at the last minute. That showed what he's like, I think.

Yes to all of this.

the whole thing is rubbish
Ian didnt reverse fast enough or far enough to do the damage they're saying jordan has. i've SEEN a kid hit by a car on a crossing and he was just sat there crying his eyes out.
Even if he got that injury, the hospital wouldn't be telling Chelsea the things they are.. i have spinal nerve damage and they always tell you to wait for bruising to heal before they make ANY judgement on any future mobility.

I also think Jordon’s injuries are disproportionate to being hit by a reversing car that was barely moving.

The accident makes no sense tbh. Why would a small child lay on the floor in the dark next to bins? Surely he would have screamed when he was hit but we heard nothing. Ian would definitely have a modern car with a reverse camera that would have shown him there was a child behind the car. So if was already on the floor, concealed by the bins, maybe there will be a twist and Jordon was actually injured before by someone/something else.

I thought he was knocked over by Ian’s car? I think it’s unlikely a child would be mistaken for a bin but maybe possible.

Shellingbynight · 13/06/2026 10:50

Yes I don't he think he was on the floor. He's about the same height as a wheelie bin so Ian didn't see him and knocked him over. Let's forget that his car would have either a reversing camera or beeping sensors. And he only moved about two feet at two miles an hour.

I think that is why I am so irritated at Chelsea - all the drama over an event which isn't even feasible.

That’s what I thought re reversing cameras and beeps when near something reversing (my car has both), surely Ian’s car had those? My car would definitely recognise a small child. Even in the dark. And speed, I was just watching last weekend old public information films about different speeds and harming children so doubt Jordan would’ve been hurt that much. If someone knows better please tell me!

NoisyBrain · 13/06/2026 14:23

Even if we ignore the parking sensor thing, and accept that Jordan was too little to be seen in the mirror, he was holding shiny helium balloons! How would Ian not have seen that?! The whole scenario is ridiculous.

Shellingbynight · 13/06/2026 14:30

That bit didn't bother me as much, because the balloons were attached to various places in the venue as decoration. So if Ian saw them he would not have thought anything of it - we viewers knew Jordan had nicked them and was carrying them around, but he didn't.

But yes, the whole scenario is ridiculous anyway! Seeing as this is now such a big issue you would think they'd bother to make it vaguely realistic.

Eastie77Returns · 13/06/2026 14:36

The most ridiculous aspect is that Jordan and his entire family were at the wedding of people they barely know. Vicki and Ross are supposedly scratching around for money but hired a marquee and had funds to cater for everyone and their mother. Where was Ross’ family?

EmeraldShamrock000 · 13/06/2026 14:56

There is no way I would give to money to charity for the businesses to fail. Pride before poverty isn’t pretty.
I reassure myself that the money was clean.

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 13/06/2026 15:49

Caught up ( late to my weekly catch up)

What tedious episodes !
The balloons Jordan was holding were behind the bins ( so the bins bewteen Ian and balloons ) so he'd have been injured if they fell on him. Ian would've heard that .
What was Ian drinking ? A pint of vodka ?
. Kathy was faffing about with Ians radio dials (she was the pissed one ) he should've stopped the car and threw her out .
Oscar and his weave of stupid excuses ( Peter needs my help he's been injured / Jimmy has had a poonamin/ I had to give Peter an adult nappy ) were like something out if Terry and June.
Nic needs to check everything George is throwing out to make sure the bag of cash doesn't get disposed of . It would've been Glorias life insurance ( one of the most shocking Eastenders scenes when Eddie punched her outside the courtroom and she fell to the floor Shock . George should take the money , his mum would;ve wanted him to
The daggers across the table from Kat to Josh
Jasmin schreeching "I;m going to Kill You " over and over
The cake (who makes a cake half an hour before a party , it needs to cool and takes time to decorate )
And the cat is back . Grin

Shellingbynight · 13/06/2026 16:07

Dire episodes weren't they @70isaLimitNotaTarget .
Eddie said the money was from Gloria saving it over many years - completely unfeasible so I can see why you say life insurance, but Gloria wasn't the type and it wouldn't arrive in batches of £50s in a sports bag😆 I still reckon it's dirty money.

Blueflutterby · 14/06/2026 20:03

I'm massively behind
It's just not holding my interest at the moment
Just had Josh and Oscar kissing with kat watching through the window.
Every single scene with josh or Jasmine, just ruins Oscar a little bit more .
What on earth did she slap him across the face for
It's rediculous writing..and the whole running between them making up stories on Oscar's phone ..I've literally had three attempts at trying to finish watching this episode,I just kept switching off .
I may stop watching for a while ,untill the dreadful twins are gone
At least bee is on her way out according to some spoiler I read

Blueflutterby · 14/06/2026 20:06

My mistake, not massively behind,I'm two episodes behind
Thought it was more than that
But I'm in no rush to watch the episodes

Zippidydoodah · 14/06/2026 20:23

Omg when Josh was crying his face looked like it was stretched into a smile….such shocking acting. I wanted to slap him.

In a scene today he’s told he may have chlamydia. The acting was abysmal, truly one of the worst bits of acting I’ve seen in EE.

I wonder why Oscar’s acting has gone downhill so much. He started out with so much promise

Shellingbynight · 15/06/2026 08:02

Libby's return. It all sounds unnecessarily complicated, I felt tired just reading it! I can see why Gray makes an appearance.

https://www.digitalspy.com/soaps/eastenders/a71579032/eastenders-libby-role-jordan-storyline/

I agree. It would have been better just for her to turn onto support Denise and go through the bone marrow test, maybe explore a little her relationship with Chelsea - that would have been engaging and maybe even poignant if written well. But instead they’re also getting her involved with Chelsea’s money problems and Gray’s grandmother. We know Ben Wadey is obsessed with bringing back past characters so it’s probably a plot device to bring back Gray.

OP posts:
the80sweregreat · 15/06/2026 08:50

Not sure I want to see Gray really. Chelsea could go and see him and just mention it in passing that she went to tell him about Jordan. The Nan getting involved is to do with money. That makes a bit more sense as Chelsea can’t work at the moment and she’ll need something to tide her over even if she doesn’t want it at first. Maybe they have realized that air brushing money woes away isn’t very realistic.

Shellingbynight · 15/06/2026 08:54

@Southeastdweller yes I agree, it's an excuse for Wadey to bring back Gray. It is a good idea to bring back Libby to support Denise but then he overcomplicates everything.

And the nan with the money is a bit of a retread of the barely finished Eddie plot.

I didn't realise Josh was going to turn up again this week, I thought he'd gone away and we were focussing on the Foxes.

the80sweregreat · 15/06/2026 08:59

I am surprised that the Nan even remembered Jordan as he wasn’t seen for many years ( in the kiddie cupboard ) and Chelsea hasn’t had a significant storyline for ages.

Shellingbynight · 15/06/2026 09:23

I guess Sheila was shown at some point during Gray's storylines but I don't remember her at all?

I'll need to fast-forward that😨
