Has an eastenders actor ever gotten far? I know Bal did well but kept on being in the dance off

I think Lacey has the fan base to win, if shes good enough 🥰

Jill halfpenny, Kara tointon and rose ayling-Ellis have all gone on to win strictly. So that’s gotten far.

I hope the poor cat is left alone. I’m sure it will be fine.
Shirley Ballas was on ‘good morning Britain ‘ today being very tight lipped about it all. She kept mentioning Ed Ball’s stint on the show, but air brushed over Suzanna Reid’s dancing and she was very good!
Lacey is brave to take it on. It’s hours and hours of training and high expectations. Not to mention itchy fake tan and all those sequins. I admire their commitment.

Oh i forgot about rose ayling Ellis! I dont think of her as an eastenders star for some reason, shes going to go global! Love her and she deserved that win.

Didnt know Jill halfpenny and kara did it!! Did they do it after their stints on eastenders?

And theres molly someone as well, not sure where she came 🤔

Rose was very good. Well deserved winner.
I can’t remember the one who played Anna doing that well , but it all blends into one at times and I tend to dip in and out of it sometimes.
I think that Cindy would be good at the tango ! The amount of men she’s had on EE , she would ace that dance.

The one I remember was Gillian (Kathy) because she got a mention in Gavin & Stacey

Some people like Rachel Riley really look the part, slim , good looking, fake tan doesn’t look fake and so on , but can’t dance that well and others don’t look as good and are fantastic at most of the dances.

Max ( Jake wood) did well on strictly. Didn’t win, but I can remember them going wild for one of the dances he did ‘ it’s all in the hip action , dahling ‘

I think both Jill H and Kara had left EastEnders by the time they did Strictly.

Loads of EastEnders have done it - Letitia and Jessie both did it. Jessie was out week 2 I think! Oh and Jack&Jack, he did quite well. They were all in EE at the time I think.

I can't see Lacey being that much of a dancer, going by the way she walks. She doesn't look balanced. But she's a hard worker, she might learn! I'm sure she will be lovely.

Lacey has lovely hair , I can see the hairdressers having fun with her locks. I really hope she can dance well.
Martin did it once as well. Honey may have done ? Or maybe not. Can’t think of any others.
Howie is a good dancer , he has the hip action.

I'm surprised at Jessie going out in week 2! I love her and imagine her to be well liked by people (except hannah waddingham, as i learned from one of these threads). Maybe thats just cos I love kat slater.

Howie would be great on strictly, he’s got the moves.

I’m sure that many of these celebrities are not that liked really. I’ve read enough threads on here to think that many are ego driven or would only speak to you of your important enough. Even the ones who play on their working class backgrounds or pleasant demeanors. Not being cynical, but very few are probably that nice. Read most autobiographies of famous people and they all like to hint that others are not that friendly deep down and people can be difficult.

I could be wrong but I don’t think Ian would lose his seat. I believe you’re only ineligible to be a councillor with a conviction that gets you 3 months in prison and we know he’s not in prison at Christmas so with a trial there wouldn’t be time

Excluding things like sexual offences or electoral fraud etc

I can attest to that, as a big celebrity memoir reader. I’ve also worked in hospitality in London and encountered many celebrities. Most ignore hospitality staff or are rude, but there’s the odd gem who is lovely to everyone. Laurie Brett (Jane) is one.

Oh I’m sure that some of them are fine, but people are people and I bet many can be a bit off sometimes!
I’ve never met anyone famous myself , so basing it all on mumsnet threads and the odd book I’ve read.

Strictly will be a nice payday for Lacey and will be good for her profile, but I wonder if she and Ben Wadey have plans for her to make some appearances in EE since both shows are filmed in the same studios.

That’s interesting that the same studios are for EE and Strictly. Didn’t know this.
She is a good actress , so I hope she may return one day.
