Pizza challenge could be good. It should be hard to screw up a pizza but since the world and his wife all got pizza ovens, I've seen a few. It seems to be the new barbecue in terms of home entertainment ie a woman does all the prep and a man who can't boil water shoves it performatively into the oven and expects applause.

I wondered this too!

I thought the pizzas would be good but they were generally awful. Shame.

I have bought DH a pizza oven. A bit whimsy perhaps. It arrives today. I’m beginning to think I made a mistake!

I haven't seen that episode yet, just the trailer which was what prompted my comment. As regards your new pizza oven, buyer beware! If my experience is anything to go by, you'll be making dough, sourcing and preparing all the toppings, making salads etc, even arranging the pizza on the paddle but someone else will put it in the oven and withdraw it when cooked, with a self important flourish. There will be rapturous cries of "Best pizza ever!" You will smile weakly. If anything goes wrong and the pizza sticks for example, most pizza experts of my acquaintance will sulk and need to be reassured that it's not their fault. The pizza expert will naturally expect the sous chef (you) to keep the bloody thing clean. Tread carefully @Ventress ! Best wishes, A FRIEND.😂

Goodness @Fransgranthat sounds so pessimistic! I don’t doubt that you are correct though! Well the oven has arrived and DH has played with it. Fingers crossed it ticks all his boxes (and he does the prep and clearing up!)

I’m watching series 21 as well. Just on the early episodes so far 😊

Don't worry, it's an easy mistake to make. Just ignore my jaundiced comments - my family pizza expert certainly does! 😂
