Interior design masters new series - let the battle commence

The next series starts on the 21st April. Looking forward to banquettes, and bizarre paint choices, and upcycling of old junk. DD and I are rewatching the old series and I’d forgotten how crazy some of the rooms were!

I wonder if Leah’s DH had a hand in keeping a white uncluttered kitchen in a house that’s full of stuff.

The two who are not Emmeley both have very similar looking homes. I was about to say it's that Next maximalist look and then remembered who the prize contract was with.

Emmeley is clearly a successful artist. I'm not sure if she applied for this or was approached to be on it. And seeing the other twos style, it's making me more sure that Next must have a lot to do with the initial selection of candidates.

Emmeley has become my favourite. People seem to take other too.

I feel a bit protective towards Emmeley because of the guitar shop fiasco and , she looks sort of sad or worried.

I saw an interview with John who won previously and he said when they came to film him in his house they didn’t like his decor so it was all changed for the filming!

Sophie's sounds like a hot mess to me - grass randomly fringing the window, really?

Emmerley's quite clever thinking about places for the children, and a bar so people can look out onto the game.

(I do know she's spelt 'Emmely' btw but it just amuses me to spell it wrongly. According to t'internet she's originally from the Netherlands)

I think Norman swerved a bullet in Sophie’s room by being colour blind.

If Sophie stays it will be a travesty. What shocking choices, and now not in a good way.
