The next series starts on the 21st April. Looking forward to banquettes, and bizarre paint choices, and upcycling of old junk. DD and I are rewatching the old series and I’d forgotten how crazy some of the rooms were!

Fingers crossed that at least some of them have watched previous series and realised that you listen to the brief and try to fulfil it even though you truly believe that everyone in the world should live in a purple palace decorated with garden centre wonky trellis and plastic dinosaurs.

I like some of the contestants mid 20th century homes.

Point of information. In the 1950s we got changed on the beach under an inadequate towel. mind you, I had a swim suit made of wool. If you went swimming on the first day of your holiday there was a good chance it would be dry enough to wear again on the fifth day. Then they brought in little nylon swimsuits with stirring elastic seam in diamonds, oh the wonders of technology.😎
