ER rewatch netflix

Was an avid ER fan 20+ yes ago. See its now on netflux, started rewatching. Its so superior to anything I have watched recently on TV. I had forgotten just how good it was! Anyone else?

I'm watching Abby slowly slow destruct again as she's turning back to alcohol whilst Kovac is away looking after his sick dad 😢

I never knew Stanley Tucci was in ER.

Just watched the episode where Carter returned and disclosed he’s on dialysis.

It’s a very random reappearance!

(Morris is currently my favourite character which is funny as I hated him at first!)

I totally forgot about that too!!

I've just had to relive Mark's last shift and death letter. So heartbreaking

I gave up.

I came to a pont where everyone and their cousins fancied Neela, herself included, and Kovac buggered off leaving Abby behind.

All the interesting characters have gone.

I gave up too. Everyone fancying Neela is ridiculous. They need romance with external characters.

I am on series 8. Just bawled my eyes out over Mark Greene’s death. I was bereft for 24 hrs after watching the two episodes!

In real life Anthony Edwards left the show to spend more time with his family…

I’ve just got to this exact bit. Know what you mean. I’m slowing right down on choosing to watch ER episodes over anything else. BUT determined to finish it as think I must’ve only got to series 11 ish the first time around. Never saw the Pratt death for eg.

What do I have to look forward to?! help keep me motivated!

I keep ignoring all the emails Netflix sends and have moved on SVU.

I’ve had enough of Neela.
I mean, just when a character is beginning to get interesting, they do something stupid, Ray for example.

And haven’t forgiven them for Kem.

Oh and there was that time when Neela was in surgery, as in performing it, and had the biggest dangling earrings known to mankind along with enough makeup to sink the Titanic, because she came from a party or something.

Now, I know it’s not a documentary but it really put me off.

It’s strange as clearly the main audience for ER was women - the first few series were about Ross and Carter and I remember there being pics of them in magazines (and on my wall), then Luca.
At some point they start pushing sexy Neela as the main draw. I don’t know who their main audience was meant to be. I always hated the episode where they made her do sexy pics to send to Michael, it was so weird.

Neela is lovely and it was interesting following her development into a confident surgeon, but I think the put too much focus on her.
That and Luca and Abby, on
and off and on and off.
They ran out of engaging characters.

Romano was a proper bastard, but he was fun.

I loved it at the time. I knew GC would be a huge star.

I LOVED Romano, they could have done so much more with him.

Watching in the 90s i didn't appreciate the misogyny of the male doctors! Its terrible! Or maybe I notice it more nowadays
