new 6 part series stars Eve Myles (https://www.goodhousekeeping.com/uk/lifestyle/a65948077/best-eve-myles-dramas/) (Keeping Faith) as gutsy Detective Annie Cassidy, who's investigating the mysterious disappearance of Bristol woman, Sarah.

And the chilling twist is that Detective Cassidy’s main suspect is Sarah’s husband, Headmaster Michael Polly, who's played by none other than Sherwood's David Morrissey. Genius casting indeed!

Gone is a chilling mystery focusing on local Headmaster Michael Polly, played by David Morrissey (The Long Shadow, Sherwood), who becomes the prime suspect in his wife Sarah’s disappearance.

An upstanding member of the community, Michael Polly is inscrutable and likes order and precision in his working life.

Until, that is, he encounters super bright, gutsy Detective Annie Cassidy, played by Eve Myles (The Crow Girl, Hijack) and a compulsive game of cat and mouse begins as she chips away at his veneer in search of the truth.

Beneath the surface of the mystery, lies a deeper exploration of trauma, trust and the legacy of elite institutions.

The series also stars Jennifer Macbeth, Arthur Hughes, Nicholas Nunn, Elliot Cowan, Billy Barratt, Rupert Evans, Jodie McNee, Oscar Batterham and Clare Higgins.

“As brilliant as Keeping Faith”: 9 of the best Eve Myles dramas to watch now on ITV, the BBC, Netflix and more

Thanks Blondes I didn’t mean to put you to all that trouble!

I’m enjoying these Sun/Mon dramas because there’s no football interfering with them so far and I actually get to watch. Have watched way more drama this year than I did last year!

None of them seem to be being picked up by the Irish channels yet which is strange.

Blondeshavemorefun · 08/03/2026 17:13

No trouble. I saw it earlier on tomorrow and though bugger need to edit title

Wasn't it Eve Myles in Coldwater, playing a vicar, married to a murderer ?

Yes, I really enjoyed Coldwater. I think I'll record Gone on my box then watch when all episodes are on there. I can then skip through the adds. I find ITVX a bit clunky and prone to freezing.

Blondeshavemorefun · 08/03/2026 20:32

Yes. She was fab in it. Plus the faith thing

Yes Eve Myles was Rebecca the vicar. More sinister than her psycho husband. Loved Cold water.

PrincessScarlett · 08/03/2026 21:18

Micheal is a cold fish isn't he.

Micheal is a cold fish isn't he.

He acts more like an army sergeant than a head master!

Blondeshavemorefun · 08/03/2026 21:26

He doesn’t seem very concerned she has gone

I’m enjoying the aerial shots but the story is very meh so far

JaneJeffer · 08/03/2026 21:30

Shouldn’t a headmaster be au fait with technology?

JaneJeffer · 08/03/2026 21:39

My phone has only four digits!

Blondeshavemorefun · 08/03/2026 21:40

Mine has 4 as well

DH doesn’t know mine!

JaneJeffer · 08/03/2026 21:50
