I can't wait the trailer looks so good.

I have watched the first season about 3 times now even DH was hooked. It'll be bitter sweet watching the next though without Jilly being around but I can't wait!

Do you think they will say something or add a little bit of Jilly in ? I need to rewatch season one again before season two starts.

@71Alex I've not read the books they are on my to buy and read list though. Do you think they will stay true to the books or go off piste?

I’m curious as to how they will fill 12 episodes. Very much looking forward to it though. I hope it’s as good as the first series.

I can’t wait for this. The trailer looks fab apart from Emily Atack - even in such a brief clip her lack of talent shines through.

It’s on in two parts, the second half won’t be dropped until later in the year.

Yes it's sad about Jilly Cooper, at least she got to be in the first series and saw how popular it was.

I can’t wait either, I had never read any JC but after watching S1 and loving it I read (listened to) Riders, Rivals and Polo in quick succession. I have spent quite a lot of time in the Cotswolds the last few years and love it there.

@StabbyCat I can’t stand Emily Atack but I actually think she’s perfect in this role annoyingly 🫣

I hate when they split things into two bits it's obviously to keep us subscribing. Surprised at the lack of love for Emily I thought she played the part well. Jealous of yous who have been spending time in the cotswolds. @EnchantedDaytime where did you listen to them please.

I thought Emily Atack was excellent in the last season but don't know much else about her.

I haven't watched it ( though I did watch Riders and TMWMHJ) many years ago and read the books some 35+ years ago for the early ones <shows age>

My DD watched it though and loved Fred Fred , she hasn't read the books

Will they overlap Rivals and Polo ?

I’m Lizzie I think and as I believe JC based the character on herself that means I’m also Jilly!

I watched the first episode this morning. Can’t wait to watch the other 2 tonight, but it’s annoying they’re not releasing it all at once.

I watched episode 1 this morning too. It was fab but they’re definitely moving a bit more away from the book(s).

Hoping to watch later - I guess the head injury & pregnancy & the expansion of Charles’ role indicated they were planning to move away from the book a bit. Provided it’s in the right spirit I’m okay with that.
Presumably JC was copied in to everything before she died.

The beginning of Polo wouldn’t fly now and RFL was a very difficult character. Although I’d miss Chessie of course!
